The later versions sound better, as they went to twin exhaust with the redesign in '07/08, and then the G37 sounds much better, with the VQ37DE.

I might cut the glaze from the shopping list, reduce the yellow foam pads by two, add two red foam pads. That adds $2, reduces $17, total savings $15... minus 10% is savings of $13.50, that puts it to $199.

The glaze is supposed to cover very minor imperfections... I can't tell how minor though, or how long it can last under a sealant.

After a little digging at Autopia, I am seeing indications that even under a sealant, a glaze only lasts a month at most, and in best case, it just fades away itself, in worst case, it may take the sealant (a 4-6 month product) with it, along with any and all layers of wax over that. An unprotected glaze can only make a week, which is far shorter than even a wax. Ergo, I'll drop the glaze, and that puts me back just under $200.

I need a cheap HSF for socket 775/1155 that comes with a bolt-thru kit of some sort. I don't care about cooling performance too much; as long as it is around stock HSF performance, it is OK. Any recommendations?
