Alternator died today. I had a clue yesterday. When I was pulling out for work in the morning, I heard a low whine. I didn't hear it when I opened the hood, but I did when in the car. I thought that it could be the alternator due to the change in pitch with the change in RPMs.

This morning, my battery started failing and I just made it to the auto parts store where it died. They charged the battery up and run a test. Alternator failed.

I ordered a new alternator with a lifetime warranty. Figured I had to bite the bullet. I just bought the battery a couple of months ago. Did the work myself. Feels good when you get done and cleaned up.

I had to take off from work to fix the car. I need it to be operable. Not something I could put off. It was nice being done with the repair and all my errands and back at home three hours earlier than I would be normal for me.

Violence in my city is just getting insane. Some asshole tried to kill someone's kid with a glass bottle. Shot it at the kid from a moving car. Ended up missing the kid but it shattered on the ground and got her with glass fragments. Right in front of the mother and everything. Absolutely ruthless. Thankfully the person was IDed I hope they get charged for attempted murder.

Wow weather outside is decieving. No sun and 20 degrees. Decided to go for a walk and within 5 minutes I regretted not having shorts on. Had to change when I got home. It's a very hot 20 degrees even without the sun.

I have a feeling it will be a fight for the thermostat at work tonight.

Strangely enough, it's only slightly warmer here. A bit windy, and very cloudy... I felt chilly.

I'm so use to sweating all the time, it became sweatshirt weather. & I closed all the windows 'cept one.

neffity nite
