Thoughts?

In my brief play:

*Browser-based game management is really clumsy IMO. I had high hopes and think it is a good idea, so hopefully it will improve.

*GRAPHICS: A mixed bag. I saw some things that looked incredible and then some things that didn't look so good. Overall, pretty good though.

*PERFORMANCE: I had it on Ultra and it did play well; maybe my standards just aren't as high as the others around here. I tried turning off some of the bells and whistles to see if it made a difference and it didn't seem to in my quick tests, but I will do more testing and playing tomorrow. I want to jack it down to low settings, play, and then jack it back up to ultra to see the difference.

I only played a little of the campaign and then the Seine Crossing multiplayer map. I finished 2-3 on it -- not too bad. I need to look into the other maps, as I prefer big open maps like Atacama Desert in BC2.

FWIW, it was a 16 player server. Maybe more players would've made it perform worse, but I still am in shock at how well it played on ultra. Almost to the point where I am skeptical it really was on ultra. I guess maybe I need to see about getting fraps and benchmarking it.

Tomorrow will suck, quite a bit. Classes from 8 to 1, then home to eat a fast lunch, off to the car dealership for replacement TPMS sensors. When that finishes, I'll be trying to get to the cemetery by taking 95/128 during rush hour. And that destination alone will make any day suck.

if you feel like typing then backstory, if not, end result.

I wasn't sure if you'd seen it.

I fix lots of things at work for them, and Saturday, I was told to fix the price guns. I tried to fix them, and ended up tearing one of them into about thirty little pieces. The boss called and said to stop fixing them, do other things, so I bagged the pieces and left a note. He came in Sunday, flipped out, and scribbled on the note pay $150.

It's illegal to make deductions or force payment, but I expected him to demand it anyways, I obviously wouldn't give in. He can fire me for it, but given the personnel shortages we have, and the upcoming busy season, I felt pretty safe.

The end result is the younger boss was there, he was a little... puzzled, by the debris, and said it just needed to be put back together. So I took another hour tonight, put it all back together, it still isn't fully functional, but it's back to the same level it was on Saturday, so IMO, I'm done with it, and I'm never fixing the damn things for them again.
