I suppose I could remove the existing backplate and use theirs. It won't be that bad removing the cards and board. How hard will it be to pull off a backplate? Anyone done it?
Actually, reading their instructions shows that their backplate (which I am not using) extends a mount through each of the holes to the hex pieces wouldn't touch the board. I don't want to use their backplate so I will have to use some washers or something. I think I have some.
Boy, I don't know though -- looking at the photos of the installed units make it appear that the hex standoffs are touching the board.
Yes they do. Most come with plastic like washers
They don't come with washers. I am going to stick with my backplate and just use washers I have.
why not use your washers and their backplatE?
