Is it an expected phenomenon that Tornados spawn in the nearby areas ?

Do you really want America's most classified documents literally scattered to the four winds? There'll be nuclear secrets turning up in storm drains and blowing around swamps for weeks.

What makes you think they're still top secret? Likely scanned and hand delivered via USB drive to China, Russia and whoever will give Trump $$$ to afford the European Mistress.

Yes. But this seems extreme.

A ton of people have fled inland to avoid the hurricane and now tornadoes are breaking out everywhere.

13 active warnings now.

Down to 130 mph. The wind field is expanding. Surge effects baked in. Now we wait to see where the surge hits.

Would be a shame if some of those outer bands pulled in some storm surge to Palm Beach ...

People in the Southeast: I could never live in the Midwest. it is WAAY too cold in the winter, I just couldn't do it!

OK, well, it may be cold here, but neither my governor nor my mayor have ever told me I need to evacuate or I will die.

How about those tornadoes?

These are not typical FL tornadoes from what I'm seeing on some of the vids. They resemble some of the big great plains twisters. Huge and wide wedge shapes.

This fucking sucks. There are no basements here due to the aquifer. If an f3 or higher hits you, not much you can do.

As if I needed more reasons to hate this state. And yes without certain responsibilities I'd have left long ago, including finding a new job.
