Anyone care to scan and host a photo of the UPC code which is attached to the X800XT AIW? I called ATI and they said to send a photo copy of the video card with the UPC "sticker" attached in with the Trade-up submittal.

The UPC code on the X800XT AIW I received from ATI did not have a bar code. I called and they told me all cards that are sold from the ATI store do not have the bar codes and to just cut them out and submit them. I did and received an e-mail stating my Trade-In cards were accepted and I will receive my credit in 3-5 days.

Where's the UPC code on the box? I saw the UPC bar code and the UPC number on a sticker on the actual card (thur the see-through plastic card protector).

after taxes, the X1900 AIW is slightly cheaper from buy.com for me

if you are a new customer you can get a promo code that makes it $200

Mine was on the left side flap.

Just got this e-mail:

Thank you for shopping at ShopATI.

The following product/s which you ordered have been shipped on 8/15/2006
from Bolingbrook, IL US 60440:

Order Information:
Order ID#: XXX
Order Date: 8/14/2006
Shipped Item/s:

Shipped 1 AIW X800 XT 256MB AGP (SKU# XXX)

Your package was shipped via Standard Shipping (3-5 business days). You
may track your package by clicking on the link below. If you do not see a
link, copy and paste this entire URL onto your browser's address bar:

---------------

They say it went on on the 15th (day after I placed my order). They gave a link to the tracking page, which shows that billing info was actually received by UPS on the 16th. Expected delivery for tomorrow (18th). I'm psyched. If I get the rebate then this will end up being one of, if not THE best deals I've gotten on computer equipment.

It really has a big impact on holding off from upgrading to Conroe. I'll probably wait for Vista and DX10 before I build a new system.

Yup, when I originally placed my order a few days ago I got an email saying it was on back order, and then today I got an email saying it's been shipped so I guess they got them in stock

Well, a $50 credit just showed up on my amex, looks like the UPC was not necessary. I sent a letter with my trade-in explaining the situation, and recieved a personalized email from the refund dept saying they would make sure it was taken care of. Looks like they kept their word.

Good to hear. I always like to hear about good customer support experiences. I've avoided Viewsonic based solely on the bad customer support stories that I've heard.

Do you have to have ordered the video card through ati.com in order to do the trade up? The XT was out of stock when I wanted to order mine, so I went elseware.

I believe the new card through the trade-up program has to be bought at ATI.com. But don't quote me on that;)

from their website...

"02. Who can participate in this program?
Any resident of the United States of America or Canada, who has an ATI or another manufactures graphics board, who have a valid credit card number and has purchased their new ATI Graphics card directly from ShopATI."

Nwrigley, I order my card on the 12th but I still haven't heard from ATI.

I guess you are one of the lucky ones.

On a different note, one of the reviews on the card stated that the memory had no heatsinks, would there be a real benefit to adding heatsinks or a different fan system
to try and cool the card further?

ordered on 13th, still nothing, CS rep yesterday said its not in stock, my guess is that the older orders are getting shipped out while newer orders are still waiting for more stock to arrive

I received my board (new retail package), sent ATI a POS video card, and received my credit of $41.50 on my charge card (I applied a discount of $9 when I ordered my card and ATI gave me the difference from $50).

did anyone else read this

The ATI Trade-up program cannot be combined with any other discounts or coupons.

so i guess using a promo code with trade will void your trade up refund?

Did you read my post above...ATI will deduct the lessor discount amount (e.g., if you get a $9 discount from a coupon...they'll only send you $41 rather than the full $50 from the Trade-up program).

oh thx,

do you think they would take an ATi Rage Pro card as a trade up. It came out of a PII compaq system.

Yes. I sent in some POS video card off a compaq from work which was built in ~1999. You could send them a "broken" video card as long as pieces aren't falling off the thing (or else they may say it was damaged in shipping).
