Sorry to resurect this thread, but does anyone know if these cards come back? Or like once they're gone, they're gone? I want one of these X800Xt's I think. Is it now a lost cause and I should order from the Egg or something?

Unless you know someone working at ATI, I don't think anyone can say for sure. But it seems to me, these deals have dried up and with the AMD/ATI merger...I suspect there will NOT be significant volumes of these AGP cards offered in the future at such low prices.

I'm glad that I was able to get in on this in time. I've been 100% satisfied so far. It's making my processor look slow now (2.6 Pentium 4 E).

This world of video cards is CONFUSING. I ALMOST bought a X 1600 XT card vs the X 800 XT card.... Take a look at Toms charts... OMG!!! How are companies allowed to get away with crap like that????? On paper, WITHOUT THOUGHT, an X1600XT should KICK X800XT butt.
Obviuosly, there is stuff HIDDEN in the last 2 letters... But really, it is still not fair...

You're right in that video card companies prey upon the uninformed, but the informed (who's company I consider myself part of) benefit because ATI/nVidia are able to make a profit on those uninformed peeps which enables ATI/nVidia to sell higher end cards for low end card prices once in a while:)

On Thursday the 31st I call ATI C/S and was told my card would be shipped out anytime now because they had plenty of them in stock.

I asked why I hadn't received an e-mail and he said he didn't know.
I was told to call back on Friday and I could get my tracking number.

I called late on Friday and was told by a different C/S rep. that the item was out of stock, it was discontinued and there would not be any more available. He said he didn't know
why the rep I spoke to the day before told me that they had stock and it would be shipping out.
I have requested a cancelation of my order and have ordered it for $25.00 more from Chief Value. Ewiz and Mwave also said they had them as of last Friday night.

Take anything an ATI rep says with a grain of salt.

I just had the $50 credited back to my card today, which officially makes this the best deal on hardware that I've ever gotten. All told (including all rebates and the cost to ship a card to them) I spent $130. I sent in some ancient Matrox card that they gave to me for free off of the junk heaps at a local computer store. If I can get $30 for my old 9600 Pro then I will be even happier.

I'm really glad that I jumped on this when I did, it's going to let me put off on building a Conroe system until DX10 cards and Vista are out.
