I would guess that it would be faster in applications that utilize multiple cores, somewhat slower in those which don't as the 3200 has a higher clock speed.

ok, nevermind, this deal is no longer ridiculous, it is now officially ludicrous. seriously, if i didn't already have a good 939 rig, i would definitely jump on this. match it up with a tforce 550, freezer 64 pro, and one of those $100 2GB super talent kits from ewiz, and you're set 😉.

EDIT: hey it says this processor is clocked at 1.9GHz. Is it using a 9.5 multi?
 
Fvck. I ordered Saturday night. I didn't care about the $4, but missing out on R6 sucks. I emailed Customer Service to see if they'll hook me up.

You'll want a mobo that supports the AM2 socket. Examples

Don't forget a fan/heatsink that supports AM2. Besides one that explicitly supports it, most/all socket 754/939/940 fan/heatsinks that use the stock retension system should work.
 
OMG that's cheap. Especially getting it with a AAA+ title like Rainbow Six Vegas. You can ebay the game for prolly $30 and be getting the proc for $35.

Crazy friggin cheap as chips.
 
Any word on whether or not AMD's quad core CPUs will be using the AM2 pin-out when they start shipping? I'd probably jump on this if I knew I could toss in a quad core proc somewhere down the line, if not, I'll stick with my 939 Opty 165 @ 2.8Ghz for now and see what happens later this year.

I have the rest of the system and a spare AMD factory heatsink leftover, are you sure this 939 heatsink will work on AM2?

I ordered this today not even knowing they shipped the free game until I checked out, doh!!! I am not a gamer, so I'll give it to a relative who is.
