noticed a good jump and the ability to crank all the graphics back up to max when I upgrade the cpus on my comps.

KOS list eh? :D

When you get killed enough by someone who either is one of those OP classes camping ya or coming after you in larger numbers, you start writing it down for payback purposes, for some reason a certain guild did it more often than others so i stopped recording individual names ;)

I actually bit the bullet last night and dropped a few of my video settings to help WoW be a bit more stable. Lowered the AA to 1x and dropped texture quality from High to Low (there are only two settings). I think texture quality is what really made the difference as now I won't use as much VRAM for textures for two clients. I had a tiny bit of pausing while moving around in Dalaran, but it wasn't nearly as severe as it used to be... and that was with two clients open. But I could definitely see where the game was still trying to load things up... signs appearing on buildings as I got closer and such.

Oh and my shaman is almost 77 (76.60!) so I'll finally be able to use that wonderful, wonderful epic flying mount again... well, that is when my Mage finally gets to 77 so he can use his too. I'll be able to farm Sholazar (and now Icecrown) like it's nobody's business.

As a note, if you have a bit of a fledgling 375-ish BS, it might be worthwhile to work on that before 3.0.8. Blizzard is nerfing a pattern that drops off the Venture Co Excavators in Sholazar because it's simply too good at helping you level Blacksmithing. You can learn it at 375 and it takes you all the way to 415 (as an orange recipe) for a mere 4 cobalt bars! It turns green at 420 and gray at 425. But since it's a level 77 green, it also DEs into 4 dusts or so. My blacksmith is at 416 now and I'm planning on doing the belt buckles until 425 since I have so many characters and chances are they will use them. Only problem there is trying to get the Eternal Shadow, which is the one I'm very low on.

EDIT:

Looking at some recipes, I really need to get my mage working on some transmutes... I want Eternal Life -> Eternal Shadow since I have two 70+ herbalists (one being an 80 druid), I have a metric ass ton of Eternal Life (around 40 or so right now). That's a hell of a lot better than farming the guys in the Frostmourne Cave.

i heard about that recipe when skilling my BS up, but since he was about 10 levels below the zone just did it with other recipes. Having about 700 cobalt bars waiting for him (not to mention the 1500 saron ones), I wasn't too worried about not getting the cheapest way up :)

you should transfer to my server and trade me some of those lifes, I have a metric butt ton of earth, a third of a butt ton of shadow, a couple air and water, enough fire to do my titansteel, and like 1 life.

also saw that they are not going to add those new titansteel weapons into the game, anyone check the original source for a reason?

Our guild finally gave in and took the free transfer to Drak'Tharon from Illidan. Lag and long queues slowed us down dramatically in PvE progression. We would have 25-man naxx cleared over a month ago.

Goodbye +2 hour queues and nightly lags in Naxx.

Bit the bullet and respec'd Resto on my druid. Thanks to my guildmates I was able to get the Earthwarden Leggings and Boots for relatively cheap prices (2 frozen orbs along with 10 Eternal Waters is all I had to provide). We're getting ready to run 10-man Naxx next week in preparation for 25-man Naxx with another guild.

I need to know what enchants would benefit me right now. I'd link my Armory link, but I'm at work. Needless to say, please look up Kytella on Aggramar to peak at my gear.

I should have Revered with Kalu'ak next week in time to get that sweet 1h Mace from them. Though I think I need to eventually get the 1h Mace from Wyrmcrest.

SP/MP5 head glyph, not sure if you have Wrath rep yet, if not the one from, errr, the alliance version of Thrallmar ;)

Shoulder glyph from Sons of Hodir or Aldor/Scryer

Speed to cloak(don't bother with greater speed on that, not worth it)

+8 stats to chest(don't bother with 10, same reason as above ;) )

SP to wrists

SP to gloves

Belt.... get rid of that pos ;)

Legs- get the better thread, a tailor in your guild should be able to make the 50sp/spirit version for you

Boots- Greater Vitality

That will put you over 1400sp, I'd say hit up heroic Nexx and try and farm that mace when you aren't raiding, pair it with a badge OH and the 50sp chant(not worth the 62, you won't keep it long enough IMO) and that will get you around 1600sp, add the badge trinket and you'll be around 1700. Full raid buffed with those done you should be close to 400mp5 while casting effective(I assume you will have either a shad priest or ret pally with you at least). Should be looking decent to start raiding at that point.

So I decided to put them up with a 3200g buyout, about 600g or so higher than any other plate epics but this seemed to be by far the best. auctioneer showed I had it at 110% value, and the damn thing sold within a couple hours. damn blizz and their 160g we're worse than ebay cut.

just when you thought you'd seen enough DKs......

With the next minor content update for World of Warcraft, we will be opening up death knight character creation so that if the account you play already has a level 55 or higher character in World of Warcraft, you will be able to create a new death knight on any realm within your region. Please keep in mind that restrictions still apply to new, non-transfer realms such that death knights cannot be created on those realms until you level a character to level 55 on that realm or until transfer restrictions are removed. For any players considering creating a new death knight, we wanted to give an early heads-up, in case you wished to create a new death knight on a realm other than the one where your characters currently reside.

If you have any further questions on creating a death knight, please see the FAQ.

Wouldn't the shoulder inscription be better than the Aldor/Scryer one? Would make more sense because, well, I am an inscriber :D

Thanks for helping Ben. I appreciate all the help.

They don't want to stick DKs with one type of weapon that provides the most mitigation.

Question for those that actually do some raiding (being a plate-wearer DPS would probably help answer this as well).

I'm working on doing some blacksmithing level raising right now and I'm at 425. I'm looking at what I can make and the Icebane (Frost Resistance Plate gear) is currently still orange for me. Do you think it'd be worthwhile for me to at least make a set of this or is it usually not that big of a deal to have Frost Resistance for Sapphiron? I'm not in a guild and would most likely be pugging it, but if I can make this gear while it will still give me Blacksmithing levels, I have no problem with farming some Eternal Fire and Eternal Water.

Haven't really done a lot of PvPing except for Wintergrasp to get into the Vault. Might be recruited into a 3v3 Arena team as soon as I'm geared up a bit. Players sure do need healers. I haven't played a class this needed ever. Always seemed to play a DPS class (Hunter/Rogue) or a broken class (Feral Druid when WoW came out).

I love it.

<Gank Factory> ... so easy... they must all die.

And about the level 55 DK thing... my RL friends are playing on a server as Horde... a month before WOTLK I started a hunter there but only reached level 47... then WOTLK hit and I went back to my Ally Rogue/Warlock (and now unholy DK). Would've started the DK to play with friends on Horde but the requirement was there... I'll make a horde prot DK after they lift the restriction.
