I have sargeres alliance, Stormrage alliance, Nathrezim alliance and horde.

Is it me, or is the horde player base dwindling? I re-rolled to Kel-Thuzad because I like being outnumbered. Gives you more of a chance to world PvP and shorter BG Q's I'd imagine. But man, it's a ghost town on the horde now. The only players I see are alliance, of which there are many. I've spent almost as much time evading Alliance as I have questing.

Any of you guys do the RP PvP? What's a good pop balance server (if anything, horde heavy?) for RP PvP?

I definitely agree with the people a page or two back saying that there just seems like so much to do at max level now.

I have an alt problem (11 85s at launch, made a monk and up to level 50ish), but I really want to go back to playing just my mage (main in vanilla + TBC).

Problem is, I also want professions on alts, specifically, I need august celestials exalted on my tailor for the 28 slot bags. Up to 22 imperial silk already, and I just cleared the AH of cloth under 30g/stack last night, so I have enough for another 25 or so. however, my tailor is only 86.3, give or take, so it'll be a while. On the plus side, that means I should be able to craft 5-6 bags by the time I get there.

according to http://wow.realmpop.com/us.html, Venture Co and Lightninghoof have the closest to an even balance, but are Alliance-dominated still.

Emerald Dream is the one RP-PvP server where Horde outnumber Alliance.

I play on Emerald Dream, it's a good high pop RP-PvP server with balance (slightly more horde). It has double the population of the other RP-PvP servers. Even though horde outnumber alliance here it's not imbalanced. Expect all forms of WPvP.

@Xonim When they put in the rep changes alts will grind rep very fast once you hit revered with a faction on your main.

It's only a 50% bump though, isn't it? I mean, it beats nothing, but why not double it? I'd much rather have them say "get exalted, alts earn double rep" than revered + 50%. 50% is only going to take a couple days off factions like Golden Lotus.

So I've ran about 20 heroics since I've hit 90 and I've only seen 1 agility piece drop which was from my first run. Ive probably got 90% plate drops, either tank, dps, or healing, and a few mail and cloth. Im over it. Screw heroics, Im just going to farm my crops.

I was the same, then like rain everything I needed dropped in 2 days. Including 4 LFR pieces and a MH.

Cant even do LFR with my ilevel. Ive been stuck with quest pieces. I maxed out justice points twice so I ended up buying random pieces with various factions for the hell of it.

So I just hit 60 today. Leveling in the new Xrealm zone environment sucks, especially at 55-60. Nineties camp you all day in blasting lands and hellfire ramparts and you can't quest at all.

It turns out that 55-59 is the sweet spot where DK's que up as tanks but don't have any AOE agro abilities. Two dungeons with DKs that could only hold single target agro and I quit dungeons. I managed to crawl my way to 58 by grinding a lvl 54 zone that was safe, then I trick or treated my way to 60 (while watching a movie on netflix). Finally, FLYING! Yay.

A consequence to doing trick-or-treats to 60 was getting honored with a leveling guild I joined. I hit Honored and 60 in the same quest in fact. I had amased a sizable bank account while leveling by playing the AH and selling leather, 8.5K at level 59. That didn't last long since I bought 3 heirloom pieces and flying. Total heirlooms i have is now 4, one weapon from darkmoon faire and 3 guild heirlooms from getting honored. Now I'm down to 3k gold. SIGH, off to farm leather.

Hopefully the pattern of ganking does not continue. I hope to be level 85 by next week, and 90 in two weeks.

The LFR sucks so far. I dont know how many times Ive got into one just to wait for over 10 minutes to fill the rest of it. There has also been a few times where it doesnt seem to fill at all.

what class/spec?

my experience with LFR in Mists has been fine... as a dps/ele shaman, I typically get into a raid within ~5 minutes and on Tuesday/Wednesdays, have never had much issues clearing.

Spriest. Getting into the raid isnt the issue, its getting it filled and then actually running it.

Got to 70 today. I have to say that questing is down right impossible. I had to instance grind the levels and it made me sad. CrossRealm zones is the worst thing to happen in a long time. It is far worse than a high pop server because you are almost guaranteed to find a lowbie questing with CrossRealm zones. With high pop zones, it was a low chance of finding someone, so you really needed to be dedicated in order to greif. Got my epic flying and cold weather flying, down to 600 gold in the bank. Hopefully, I'll zip through 70-85 at a quick pace.

Nagrand is kinda bad also. I have seen 2 lv 90 horde on mine sit at the nessingway quest site with 100+ skeletons sitting around. They never moved, and killed all alliance that came close.

Also ring of Blood was out of the question as 90s on both side would come by and 1 shot someone of the other faction as they started doing it.

Somehow I made it out of there. Hit lv 68 and moved to Northrend. Since then (82 now) have had no ganking issues.

I spoke to soon about LFR. I got into two last night with no issues. The first time I came in after they had downed the first boss. Group filled quick and we down the next two and I even one some shoulders. Raid fell apart so I qued again and got a fresh group. Downed first boss with only 20 people in raid.

Real men level on pvp.

/flex

Finally hit 90 on the lock last night. Been spending too much time emptying the dvr lately.

Looks like 5.1 will have a new spell for locks with stun/knockback. Will be nice as that is a feature that really feels lacking.

I leveled a character on a PvP realm during the Wrath-era to play with a friend... the only real difference vs a PvE realm was that every couple hours (generally once/twice a session) a level 80 would come along and 1-shot me for no reason.

Having leveled 4 characters to max on both PVE and PVP servers, leveling on PVP is hardly boast-worthy.

Leveling on anything unless it was vanilla PvP is hardly boast-worthy. Now, that was some crazy shit - there were entire nights that my friends were unable to level. I just simply would bubble-hearth, haha.

Ive only lvled once on a PvP server. I made it to 19 and was heading to Tarren Mill and as soon as I crossed into the zone and became flagged, I saw nothing but bones. I never did play on that server again though. If I could send gold to a different server I might do it again.
