How many SoR can a person send? And can you make the 80 on any realm?

An account can send two SoR invites in one day. One from in-game, one from the account management webpage.

Yes, the 80 can be on any realm. Just create a level 1 character how you wanted (race/class/realm) before you 'claim' the SoR reward.

Woot got a mount. Never received an email or in game message but when I went into my bnet account last night noticed that one of my many previous scrolls had come through and there was a button to get the mount.

It is telling me that my mount has not been earned.

If anyone needs a SoR let me know. Thanks.

Your account will be upgraded to Cataclysm as a benefit of the SoR.

I am at work now. If you want me to send it I will need you to send me your email along with your actual name I believe. If done in game it just requires the email.

We have DE some of those off Morchok. =(

They are nice, just useless after the rogue got his.

still waiting for mine too on the rogue. Our warrior is getting decked out in heroic gear and he and I are always neck and neck on dps - he's got 403 & 410 trinks while I have only one 397. And when there's AOE in the fights like Madness or H-Yor'sahj, he always comes out on top... so annoying. Any tips, or are cleaves just a natural thing for warriors? FOK [Mutilate spec] even with deadly poison on is weak and takes too much energy. Something like H-Ultraxion and Zon'ozz I win decisively.

I know exactly what you mean. This game used to be a large part of my life. Enjoyably so. Now I can log in and do a few things, but it's just going through the motions. Even new content doesn't fix that for me. Eight years playing the same game will do that I guess...

Fricken 8 years I've wasted my free time on this addiction - I swear I would've advanced my career had it not been for this damn game. Ironically someone from work got me into it.

We may have differences because I play as Combat full-time now rather than swapping to Assassination on certain fights (Yor'sahj and Morchok). I find it much more refreshing to not be gimped whenever I swap targets... especially quickly like on Hagara.

I don't normally lead most fights on my Rogue. I tend to get screwed over by target switching regardless of spec unless there's a mechanic that allows me to overcome the loss in DPS. An example of that is Blade Flurry on Warmaster. I do between 39k and 41k on Warmaster, which is easily 5-8k higher than the next person, and that's with the target swapping, and loss of DPS from running to the big circle.

I don't really see any difference on Yor'sahj between the amount of damage I deal to the adds as Combat vs. Assassination. I believe I tend to do around 2.2 million (may change depending on how many phases we get with adds). I cannot compete with our Death Knight (around 4 million damage to adds), but he is also on the boss full-time.

However, no one beats me on Ultraxion. That fight is at Patchwerk-y as it gets, and I like to milk it for all I can. Unfortunately, we blow Heroism at the beginning (the best time given there are no Fading Lights), which means I should not use Adrenaline Rush. So, I end up wasting almost 45 seconds of 5-point Ruptures and Eviscerates that would be reducing my cooldown by 10 seconds each.

I still end up doing around 41k on that fight though, and it should go up quite a bit once I get my legendaries tomorrow.

I don't do as well on Zon'ozz though. The tentacles die too fast during the black phase. I actually spend a few sets of 4-5 points on things like Recuperate because the mob's already dead and I usually use Redirect to transition points to the boss. Sometimes, I also lose DPS because I head toward the tentacle spawn position once the ball starts coming back (and the RL calls to let it hit) since anyone being in his hitbox tends to make it bounce back. :| The problem is that sometimes it will bounce back instead of hitting him, so I have to run back and start DPSing again. It's just a loss of DPS for me.

Natural thing for warriors. We don't have a raiding warrior, but our rogue (combat) destroys every fight in DS.

^ I would switch to combat for a few fights too but the stat priorities screws it for me. I don't want to have to reforge - and obviously not going to get a 2nd set of gear just for dmg meters. The sinister strike ship sailed for me a long time ago... was combat for the longest time and got bored.

Grats on the legendaries btw. I am at 38/60 cause I've had to miss a few 2nd nights... we would obviously clear in 1 night if we weren't so hell-bent on some heroic attempts... but I also understand the other raiders are bored with just clearing regular. I'm just afraid there'd be no more raids to get gems after Diablo 3 comes out in a few weeks.

I guess it doesn't bother me as much, because I've been mostly playing as Assassination spec since Vaelastrasz the Corrupt in Blackwing Lair. Although, I don't think Combat is any less interesting than Assassination, but it is kind of annoying at times.

I run into a bit of a quandry at times with it. I have 3 combo points, hit Sinister Strike like a good little boy, Sinister Strike crits, the glyph procs, and I gain 2 combo points. So, now I've got 5 combo points and no Revealing Strike debuff on the boss. :( It makes me wonder if I should try and use Revealing Strike earlier in the combo point generation to ensure it is up.

The one thing that I like is that if I'm an idiot and I use Revealing Strike when I should use Slice and Dice with my combo points, I can still use Slice and Dice, but my next combo point generation will just be using all Sinister Strikes since the debuff will still be there (15 second duration I think).

Yeah, I used to use Combat without switching stat priorities as well, and it's definitely not as good, but it's not that bad either. I would still lead on the damage meters, but obviously not as much as I would the other way. The only difference that I see is that you swap mastery and haste around in their priority. I still have 17% spell hit.

I know what you mean about being hell-bent on clearing heroics. We're working on spine right now, which is definitely not that pretty! We've had a few points where we don't get enough DPS on the tendon to kill it in two intervals. As Combat or Assassination, I can get a cooldown (Adrenaline Rush or Vendetta respectively) for each tendon DPS phase, but I don't think that's the case for every class. I usually end up neck-and-neck with the Feral Druid when it comes to damage dealt to tendons, but everyone else is usually 500k-800k behind.

Our first night of attempts on spine went ok. We got the first plate down after two lifts. We didn't do do well after that because healers weren't dealing with the debuff right.

We one shot the first five bosses and two shot the sixth boss. Still no HCotC but we had HBLF drop off back to back bosses. We have seen every trinket drop at least once except for a CotC. It is aggravating the crap out of me.

I think we're fine with debuffs. We had one wipe to a debuff that didn't get dispelled (must have just been overlooked), but I believe our good debuffs were being properly dispersed among the raid. I recall checking once over vent and I think we had 2x (tank), 2x (tank), 1x (me).

Our issue is the adds... there's just a ridonkulous amount of them by the time you remove the first plate. We tried to do the soak-n-roll method once, but it didn't go well when the tank brought the 9-stack add over to get the grasping tendril debuff. Although, I don't think it takes all 10 people on a side to initiate a roll, so if he gets a 9-stack... the tank could just go to the other side and get the debuff over there. That would reduce the amount of AoE damage that we take. If you don't hit a 9-stack, there is no AoE, which means either side would be fine.

I think we actually had a few wipes on Tuesday. We wiped on Morchok because my side was too far from the crystal during a stomp. Even with feint, I took over 200k damage. :p I think we also wiped once on Yor'sahj and Ultraxion. Yor'sahj isn't really an issue for us anymore unless we get some crappy luck with the ooze combinations. I think our tank actually died during the kill and our Feral Druid picked him up. The funny part was when he kept calling to have it taunted back off him (tank was battle rezzed), and it took maybe 30 seconds for it to actually happen. :p Ultraxion was a quick wipe at least... someone forgot to eat the first twilight thing.

I'm not really sure what the acronyms that you're using are though. Normally I'm pretty good with the lingo, but my apathy for WoW is at an all time high right now. :p

Still not feeling the game though, I'm just too burned out.

20% debuff tomorrow. WOOHOO for killing the first 6 faster.

I really want to get the title from heroic madness.

Yeah, the 20% debuff ought to make our spine fights (or rather attempts) a bit cleaner. We've had a few instances on our second tendon DPS phase where the plate drops back down with only 20-70k left on the tendon.

Although, I think I talked about it before, but there's a large disparity between what some of our DPS seem to do on the tendon. I normally check Recount after each attempt to see the damage breakdown on it, and most of our DPS do around 1.2-1.4 million. I'm usually around 1.8-2.0 million and the Feral Druid is typically at 2.0-2.2 million if I remember correctly. Personally, I know that as a Rogue, I have a cooldown available on every tendon phase, and that's as Combat or Assassination, but I don't know if this is the case for every other class.

It makes me wonder if some of the other classes (Shadow Priest, Warlock, Hunter and/or Mage) have specs that would work out better for the burst damage.

EDIT:

It'll also be my first raid with the legendaries! Although, I messed around with them on the dummies, and realized that there isn't a great indicator (that I saw) to show when you get the special buff.

Couldn't even get any attempts in last night as the old priest didn't show up yet again and the new one locked himself to a heroic DS without knowing it.
