Unless you have some unique feat of strength achievements and/or unique/rare mounts/pets it's really much better to just start from scratch.

Yay we killed heroic boat tonight, and it went rather cleanly. I'm not really 100% sure what we changed... I think part of it involved having only one tank take care of the adds, and the other helped soak up some of the smaller circles. I also stopped worrying so much about the drakes. They almost always seemed to go down fast enough regardless of my focus being on them, and they still went down quickly. The problem that I do see is that it would be nice to get the adds down around the same time, but they aren't as big of a problem.

I have a silly unimportant casual problem. I'm kind of thinking out loud here, while typing.

I'm stuck with the decision of choosing between my two alliance mages. Because of the character limit, I have to choose between these two:

a. Already in my main account, level 66, have 430+ tailoring, 330+ inscription, ok-looking female gnome.
b. In my other account (costs $25 for transfer), level 81, 380+ tailoring, 0 inscription (currently enchanting 300+ but I want to switch it to inscription), pretty-looking female human.

The end goal is to have a max level mage with max'd tailoring and inscription as painlessly as possible.
(sometime..... in the not so near future. I only play let's say two hours every other night)

This boils down to:

Leveling from 66-85 (giant pain for me*) + tailoring from 430 (ok) + inscription from 330 (farming herb low pain) + not so pretty.

vs.

Leveling from 81-85 (super easy) + tailoring from 380 (farming frostweave pain, or $$ at AH) + inscription from scratch (farming herb medium pain) + $25 real world money for transfer + pretty looks.

Getting rid of the in-game low-to-medium pain (farming herb/cloth, AH $$), for me this *really* boils down to:

a. in-game leveling from 66-85 for an ok-looking character.

vs.

b. $25 real world money for transferring a pretty character.

What do you guys think?

After writing all of this down I'm kind of leaning towards option a at the moment.

*The reason why it's such a huge pain is because in addition to not so crazy about leveling up to 80, I also have a horde mage at level 65 who I'd like to level-up at some point as well. Which means if I choose this option I'll have to level a mage from 66 to 85 twice.

Too bad botting doesnt work anymore. I leveled 4 toons to 85 doing it.

I still could use a SoR friend. I sent out two to people here and haven't gotten a reply.

Side note:

I want to kick our healing Priest out of the guild. He is always late to raids by a good bit and it is annoying. I got a new priest coming tonight to try out.

We did 6/8 this week and did not have time for HC Spine attempts at all. It is annoying. Also, DS needs to drop a Heroic CotC. We haven't seen one drop in reg or heroic. Now that we do heroic for the first six, I would love to see it drop. My RF IotCM needs replaced.

I'm still waiting for the heroic ranged weapon from Morchok. 😛

Since I went Combat and we're beating Warmaster, I wouldn't mind a heroic Starcatcher Compass either!

We have DE some of those off Morchok. =(

They are nice, just useless after the rogue got his.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've played and I have a question. Is WoW taking advantage of quad-cores these days? I'm trying to decide between an i5-750 (OC to ~3GHz) or an i3-2120 for a WoW box for a friend's son. Chips will cost about the same, wondering if the IPC advantage of the i3 is enough to make up for the four cores.

Woohoo! Got my beta invite.

After last night and installing the beta while going to bed:

My upstairs computer totally crashed and had to be restored.

My laptop downstairs has to have the entire thing redownloaded and installed.

YAY BLIZZARD !!!!

Thanks for the resurrection scroll.

This is so weird. I had a very voraciou appetite for the game back in 2006/2007.

It truly was the most wondrous game I had ever played.

Now, the magic is gone. The artwork is still very impressive, but...it's just not interesting anymore.

I know exactly what you mean. This game used to be a large part of my life. Enjoyably so. Now I can log in and do a few things, but it's just going through the motions. Even new content doesn't fix that for me. Eight years playing the same game will do that I guess...

Woot got a mount. Never received an email or in game message but when I went into my bnet account last night noticed that one of my many previous scrolls had come through and there was a button to get the mount.
