I've mostly been playing Combat lately, because Mutilate is just far too weak in some fights. But I mostly use...

1. Sinister Strike
2. Revealing Strike
3. Eviscerate
S1. Slice and Dice
S2. Tricks of the Trade
S3. Rupture
A1. Adrenaline Rush
A2. Killing Spree
A3. Blade Flurry

I have some others like..

5. Feint
S4. Recuperate
A5. Redirect

I just used a SoR. I was going to transfer my level 85 main, then make my free 80 on the new server. Now I'm hearing I can't do that. I have to use the 2 rewards on one character. Is this true? Did I click to quickly and miss that notice somewhere?

It is true. If you took the transfer reward on a level 85 character then it will not give you the option to boost that character to 80 (obviously), because the rewards can only be claimed on one character.

I've been leveling a tank. Up to level 59 and 60 , I had instant queues, once I hit outlands my queues turned to 5 Minutes. Seems like a lot of people don't have any expansions past vanilla. Really strange.

Everybody have BC now as it's included with the purchase of the base game.

The main reason your queue time went up is because of the DKs. They started popping out of their starting zone at 58 and are severely overpowered in instances 60-70 so they can faceroll-tank without any problem.

I think everyone may have wrath now if I'm remembering correctly.

No, currently you still have to pay separately for Wrath.

The SoR promotion upgraded people up to Cataclysm though, so there's likely tons of new Cataclysm account in the past month or so. I'm guessing the next Battle Chest will come out after MoP is out and it will include everything up to Cataclysm.

Anyway, I couldn't help it so I finally self-SoR'd my last account this morning and got myself a fresh level 80 fury warrior. Let's see if I like this better than my SoR mage because I can only transfer one of them back (there's only one more character slot available in my main account).

My rogue needs a better profession than alchemy/herbalism for max dps purposes. I'm going to keep herbalism for lifeblood haste, but alchemy's bonus doesn't help in a raid environment where we all get the same flasks. Mixology doesn't apply then - mouseover shows 300agi for flask so no benefit - am I right? So I'm thinking engineering for the glove bonus (on use per minute) or JC for the 67agi X 3. Already have an enchanter alt so kinda don't want another. Have a JC too so was leaning engineering. What do you think is the way to go? Is passive better than on-use for most boss fights?

Your flask lasts longer as an alchemist.

I'm pretty sure Mixology actually grants you an added benefit from flasks..

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=53042

One of the comments states:

  • Flask of the Winds = 450 AGI (150 Agility increase)
  • Flask of Titanic Strength = 450 STR (150 Strength increase)
  • Flask of of the Draconic Mind = 450 INT (150 Intellect increase)
  • Flask of Flowing Water = 450 SPI (150 Spirit increase)
  • Flask of Steelskin = 450 STA (150 Stamina increase)

and another one said:

it will only show the base effect on the buff display. If you wanna see that it is in effect, your gonna have to compare your sp before and after you use the flask

... which would explain your initial reaction.

yes but we put out a new cauldron when the regular folk lose theirs anyway.

Grab a flask. When raid end, you right click you buff, use the new one and log out.

Killed Heroic Warmaster tonight. We got some attempts last week, and hit phase 2 once. We got a solid night in tonight and he died.

We're still working on him. :( We got to phase 2, but there was just a ridiculous amount of fire on the boat that our ranged had nowhere to move during the shockwave.

Our rogue brought his shadow priest and our resto Druid went boomkin so we had 6 ranged people.

We soaked small circles during the first two rounds of adds and ignored the third, can't see the small circles to well due to the fire.

We all grouped up in one spot and moved together until the dragon was gone then spread out on Warmaster. The fire is only half there at the start of the second phase. You have to zoom out and see where the guys hovering over the deck are spraying for your first movement.

Yeah, our largest issue is probably the fire won't extinguish bug. It's been around since the encounter was released, so chances are it won't be fixed if it hasn't already. :(

Although, our melee (including myself) typically do the most damage on this fight. As long as the adds are close enough together, my Blade Flurry is rather overpowered.

450 would be conflicting info because on this page it shows mixology as 380 (looks like 300agi = 300 maep) and not 450maep. If it's really 150 additional maep, that's significantly higher than the other professions that grant 80 maep.

I'm also surprised the buff doesn't show the correct amount. I mean it's smart enough to give me extra time on it with mixology.

EDIT> I just logged in and right-clicked off my 300 agi cauldron flask from last raid. Comparing AP before and after, it took away 1036AP after removing the flask only.

My Flask of Enhancement @ 80agi gives me 218AP. At that factor of 2.725, it appears the cauldron flask does give me 380 agi (equals 1036AP).

EDIT2> I could've just checked my AGI stat, couldn't I? Derp.

Grab a flask. When raid end, you right click you buff, use the new one and log out.

I do this, but this particular benefit does not help my RAID DPS which is why I brought this up. Doesn't matter now that it seems Mixology does give me extra dps.

Yeah, it's possibly wrong, but I think the important part is that there is a benefit. So, I wouldn't waste your time unless you really want to have to deal with an on-use cooldown. :p

If I got a scroll from someone, could I make another warrior and have him boosted to 80? (Before I quit many years ago, I deleted my warrior. I'd like to have another one). I'll probably start playing again because I'd like to see the MoP expansion.

Yes, you can create a brand new character and claim the reward on that character. Just make sure you 'skip this for now' when you're offered to do it right away after accepting the SoR, login to the game first and create the character you wanted. Then you exit the game, back to account management to claim your reward, and choose the new character.

I have done this three times now.

I know someone who deleted their character years ago and was able to get it back just recently. They also came back via a scroll... may want to request your old toon back before getting a new one made up.

I gave away all my shit before I quit so it really wouldn't matter. I had mounts and whatnot, but meh.
