The resurrected account will get one character of choice get boosted to 80 (and option to server/faction transfer), in addition to that account getting all expansions up to Cataclysm (regardless of it's still vanilla-BC or already has Wrath).

There is no 90 days rule, the only rule is that the account has to be inactive as of March 4, 2012 or earlier.

*your boosted level 80 character will be gifted full green iLvl 232 gear, talents and skills assigned with the spec of your choosing (that you choose when boosting), all necessary flying skills (basic flying/epic flying/northrend flying/azeroth flying), and all of your bags will be upgraded to 20 slotters.

It works just fine. I already invited one of my other accounts (I'm a RAF junkie, did it 3 times. all under one batle.net account) and boosted a character to 80.

If both of your accounts are inactive, I can send a SoR to your main account, and then you can SoR your second account and get a free upgrade to Cataclysm. Just PM me your character's name and server.

I was under the impression that the server/faction transfer was only good for the server your character that sent the invite was on. (Maybe you can create a level 1 character to send the invitation out on a pre-determined server so the recipient of the scroll can transfer where they want.)

Cata by far isn't the worst, will take a real snoozer for BC to give up that honor.

People just have to remember that a large portion of this expansion was about non-max level content. If they had for once stuck to their dream about shorter turnaround production schedule this probably wouldn't have been as much of an issue.

I liked BC and Cata but thought WOLK sucked the big one especially with the over haul to healing.

I might use this for my third account that was originally for my enchanter (Priest) prior to being able to enchant scrolls. I have some Orc Death Knight on the account that I think would be fun to level up and give myself a free birdie.

I got an email this morning with this scroll. Do you get all of the benefits right away? Or are some of them only obtainable after you've paid for a month? I know the sender only gets the mount after I've paid for a month.

Blizzard's been sending me a lot of 'come back soon' emails and deals... this one is actually tempting, even if it's just for 7 days for a free level 80 and free server transfer.

The recipient's reward you will get instantly (free upgrade to Cataclysm), and you can choose to get the other benefits (free boost to 80 + realm/faction transfer) right away or use it later.

It's only the sender's reward that waits until the recipient paid for a full month.

So I just tried this on an old RAF account I had. For kicks, I wanted to see if I could have an instant 80 Worgen (I haven't leveled a Worgen or Goblin). I sent myself the scroll, accepted it. Before I claimed the insta-80, I created a level 1 rogue Worgen, then claimed it. Needless to say, it worked like a charm. Instant 80, 20 slot bags, specced out to my choice, 450 first aid, and all riding learned except the 310% one. Nice.

That wasn't me. I was still having trouble with 'too many attempts' error and someone sniped my SoR!

Anyway, I came here to tell you to wait a bit and try again, but it looks like it works now.

This is fun, I have two of my own accounts (and two boost to level 80) that I reactivated already. Trying to plan what class to make next. I still have 3 more accounts, i.e. three more level 80s and three free upgrade to Cataclysm. I probably will play around a bit and then transfer at least one to main account.

Heheh. Most likely it's someone who you played with before that has your name in his friends list, and just sent you an invite from within the game (social panel).

Been following the SoR discussion all over the interweb and I think Blizzard got this one just right. There's as many people who wanted to send SoR as people who wanted to receive SoR. With RAF, although the reward seems to be pretty balanced, I've seen much more people who'd like to send RAF than people who wanted to receive a RAF, to the point that the sender had to promise to add gold/bags/paying for flying skills/etc to sweeten the deal.

This time it looks to be just perfect. In my personal opinion though the SoR sender got very little reward by just getting the mount. At least they should have kept the free month (reward of original SoR) for the sender if the receiver paid for a month, or maybe give the sender their own 'boost to 80' or something.
