I beat our rouges DPS last night when we took out Argaloth, a rare occurrence and manly due to the fact that he died. Our Boomkin gave him a BR otherwise this would have been a wipe for sure.

Don't forget that the problem with rogue dps on Argaloth is half the time we're dpsing him from the front which means a LOT of dodges... It really sucks on dps to spend 40 energy to swing and miss. Somehow we're usually still high up there... Make up a lot of it when we can still stand in and swing during fire when casters can't stand and cast long... Just guessing.

I pulled 20.6k last time I did Argaloth... I was actually kind of surprised 😱.

I'm only 8/16 epics right now too... man, Shamans are the OP!

I continue to DPS the entire time during the flame phase. The thing is, if you keep running in a giant circle, chances are you will not be hit by fire. When he rears upward, you can look around and see where fire is beneath him. This allows you to adjust your path.

Seriously shamans are nuts. We don't have one in our raid group but in a 5 man last night I was doing 12-15k but every time the whammy was 2k ahead. I don't understand why Druids are getting yet another nerf. I don't want whammy nerf, I just want to be left alone.

My DPS in randoms is well... kind of random 😛. I've had pulls where I can pull 22k in some heroics and earlier today my highest was maybe 17k 😵.

The poor tanks! 😛

I would say poor tank as well except these days tanks are pulling over 10 K DPS on their own. I've seen really good tanks pull 12 to 13 K

Well if you are talking about PVE, I always do more than mages and hunters but Shammy's do more and half the time a good rogue will do more.

I think after the arcane mage ridiculous increase they'll be doing more.

I just don't see the need to nerf starsurge. I think we are actually fine where we are.

I agree that the Nerf to Boomkins feels out of place.

As for the freaking hunters "Out of Control" well I guess most of them are doing more DPS than I am as a BM. Still the Boomkins I've been in groups with don't appear to have any trouble keeping up with the other DPS. There was a time when the "Crit Chickens" were always at the top of the DPS list and now they are just about the same as others. They are already in line so I don't see ANY need for this nerf.

I seriously need to take the plunge and start using my Survival spec for raiding. I could probably pump out another 3K DPS to put me in the 15 to 16 K range but I keep waiting for the nerf to survival that was talked about in the past.

All of the pets I currently have on my call pet bar are exotic so I’d have to dredge up one of my old ferocity pets to run with Survival.

overall balance druids are 3rd on the DPs charts behind Fire mages and Spriests when averaging all things together. they are above hunters. some fights do greatly benefit certain classes however

We got the trash wand to drop in BWD last night. When we first went in there it was the second BoE to drop and we sold it due to no bank money and a few casters had Corla's Baton or something close and each person viewed that as a minor upgrade. I jumped all over it last night (Warlock). Now, the only three blues I have left are shoulders, bracers and a ring. We have only had one pair of BoE bracers drop in BoT.

So an inactive guildie was confirmed to be hacked last night. Wouldn't respond to tells, toons standing naked in front of AH, other toons server xferred or something.

It's been happening a lot to inactives - how would this be happening? Are the 'hackers' brute forcing passwords or only now getting around to using old keylooged passwords?

I was always curious why Blizzard didn't have a wrong-password lockout. Make it generous - 10 or 15 tries or something. Maybe brute-forcing's not really something they see.

Likely a brute force, a nine year old with a brute force program can get into any account that doesn’t have an authenticator, as long as your e-mail address is known. You see that’s the second part of the security flaw with Blizzards game authentication process. Having a user sign in name that’s common and easily attainable, in fact is often given out without a second though about security, added to no password lock out on ANY number of failed attempts makes WoW one of the easiest games EVER to hack an account on.

Considering the popularity of the game at 11 to 12 million subscribers and the potential for making money off hacked accounts, it’s no wonder that they have the problem they do.

The other possible, and even likely cause for the hack is that the “inactive” guild members computer has been compromised by a virus/trojen/keylogger.

Anyone playing WoW without using an authenticator WILL eventually get their account hacked. A guild member in our guild got hacked. He is an IT technician for a local school district and I know his computer was not compromised so it had to be Brute force. The guild bank had fair amount of items missing as well because who ever hacked this members account took out the maximum number of stacks he could. Everyone in the guild now has authenticators and we don’t accept anyone in unless they also use them

That person is retarded. He basically said that all BoE's are fair game to sell on the AH regardless of their usefulness to other classes who actually "want" and upgrade at said time...dumb

Stuff like that is the reason I do not Tank instances for anyone outside of my Guildmates and in-game friends.

Well let’s start off by saying this guy was wrong. There is NO rule saying that all BOE drops should be needed by a PUG group. That was his idea and it shows that he was simply nothing more than a jerk.

At a minimum he should have said at the start of the run, “I’m going to need on any BOE item that drops so everyone should do the same.” To need it and then after the fact say everyone should need BOE drops shows him to be an idiot and slime ball. Him not being willing to roll for it confirms that.

I understand that the gold you could get from this would benefit everyone in the group so it’s not outrageous to let everyone have a chance at the item. Personally I would pass on something someone in the group can use/equip, but that’s a personal preference and there is no rule saying he had to do the same.

calling something like that out after people have already /rolled or passed is pretty poor.. but on my server at least it's generally understood that in a LFD Pug you should be rolling need on any BoE epics that drop, assuming you are at all interested in it (for use, selling, whatever).

Just dinged 30 on my Gob Shaman, he is great fun to play with so far.

Re-rolled a Priest just to mess around, and got kicked out of three groups for SFK because I'm shadow spec... Does that really matter in early instances? I remember healing with my Shadow Priest a few years ago like it was no problem, never wiped or anything. I get end-game concerns... But spec concerns in a lvl 15-25 instance? :\

So much stuff has changed since I last played ('09), it's crazy... Took me forever to find the Org flightmaster, gave a big 'WTF' when I ran outside for the Zep and it wasn't there... Even the LFG is vastly changed. We interchange servers now for groups?

I'm having fun, glad to be back and fighting for the Horde 😀

I'm at work and cannot pull the website up (websense...bah) that described why fast weapons (such as daggers) wasn't optimal to an enhancement shammy. Since he isn't my main and I keep him geared just for heroic trash runs with guildies as they level up, I can't remember off the top of my head what the exact reasons are but I remember they have something to do with the procs from Windfury and Flametongue among other things. Am I wrong in remembering that daggers weren't a good choice while the maces/axes that are at or around the 2.60 speed the preferred choice.

Help me out here guys as I'd like to toss him a quick message back.

Even with normalization, you will lose DPS with a fast weapon when you use instant attacks. Enhancement Shamans did have a few points (beginning of Wrath and Cata) where fast caster weapons provided a DPS increase; however, this gets nerfed every time.

Yeah, that's what I remembered...I knew it had something to do with the instant attacks of windfury and the enhancement on the off-spec hand but couldn't remember exactly what. He was asking as he saw a couple good deals on purple daggers on the AH and was going to jump on them thinking the faster attack speed would translate into more DPS for the enhancement shaman he's got (currently 83'ish).

He's a "numbers guy" and seeks to understand each and every nuance of gear/stat/etc to get as much "performance" out of his toons. He saw some of the DPS numbers I pull when I'm playing the shaman and thought I had done tons of research on the class or something. I basically told him I had read online about gear, raiding, rotation, etc and had basically just set mine up that way and done some minor tweaks for my playstyle (talent point difference here-and-there, gem choice, gear, etc). Since he's not my main, I haven't done a lot of reading on theorycraft of DPS, etc so I couldn't really tell him in detail what faster/slower weapons do. I have a few toons that I just know the general gist of gear, spec, reforging, rotation for and can eek out a good DPS when I have to fill-in on raid groups.
