Not everyone gets to do EVERYTHING in the game. That's just the way it works in an MMO. Everyone who doesn't get what they want throws out the term "elitist". If you can only play for 45 minutes a day/at a time, then you won't be able to do everything. I'm not sure why you think, in an MMO, that everyone who "pays their money" gets all the gear they want. If I came off as an "elitist" somehow, I apologize, but I'm not. I don't raid... because I don't have the time, or hell, maybe the skill. I won't whine about it because that's life. I just don't understand why you feel that you deserve a shot at all items because you pay your money but won't put in the time when the expansion has been out for a friggin month.

Also, maybe you oughta find a new guild.

That's pretty much why I quit. Some people don't have time to do that stuff. You can't raid 15 hours a week plus farm for gold plus have 2 other alts and still have a sane life. Its impossible. Then what are you left with? Running regular dungeons and pugging for blues and the occasional epic. BORING.

Hey, my guild was a scepter guild. We got to patchwerk in naxx. I did the 35+ hours a week thing back in the day. I just don't have time for it anymore and its no fun when the content is that difficult and you're not in a raiding guild. Most people, when they get home, want to play 1-1.5 hours in a dungeon shitting face on the monsters and then collect the loot. If they can't have that, they won't play. They don't want to finesse the game. They just want to have fun. I'm pretty sure a lot of other people are in the same boat as me and will quit if Blizzard wants to keep their content difficult and inaccessible.

Finally exalted Baradin's... sucked with a 4:1 horde ratio. Just picked up the Unsolvable Riddle... what do you think is better... the spectral steed or the drake? I kinda dislike the huge drakes personally... but it would be put to so much more use.

It also is no fun being able solo a lvl 80 heroic in i277 gear. Being able to 2 man naxx 10, or solo if your a paladin or druid is no fun. There's a limit to how dumb and easy you can make a game before people stop caring.

It's really just artificial difficulty created by poor players. I can't tell you how many times I've had a lot of trouble or simply wiped because of people not doing something correctly. I recall telling an Enhancement Shaman in Halls of Origination to Purge the big dudes with the flame aura... I never once saw them purged after saying it multiple times. I recall doing Shadowfang Keep and how many healers simply fail at Baron Ashbury. The thing is, that's not even the only fight in the game where the point is to not heal everyone back to full... although, I can't remember the other one (it's not Anub'arak, although that's similar).

It gets bad enough sometimes that I have to attempt to make up for poor players in ways that I'm not intended to. I usually perform half the interrupts in heroics on my Prot Paladin by saving Avenger's Shield, which is why I can't wait for the Rebuke change to go through!

I actually did Baradin Hold yesterday on my Shaman. I was originally going to go as a tank on my Paladin, but they ended up filling that spot. I was a bit worried that I was going to do some pretty bad damage since I wasn't all that well geared (armory - I had a green helm on during the raid). I ended up pulling around 11.5k DPS, which I guess was alright for not even being hit or expertise capped. I'd still prefer to do a lot better than that though.

this is why i hate pugging

at least they beat the tank

its not like im decked in raid epics, i have some rep ones and 1 item from a 10 man

Nearly 10k isn't that bad... the 8k is on the low side. Honestly, you should really complain when you get into groups like some that I've been in where DPS is around 4-6k. I remember where one Lost City heroic where two of the DPS were about 4-6k and there was one warrior at 13k on the first boss. Needless to say, the warrior just left right after the boss fight without even saying anything.

prob but i got curious about how bad people were

had a rogue on Saturday struggle to break 6k

I guess that's where you and I differ, I think those numbers in the screenshot look pretty damn good for a pug heroic. Assuming you are the 14k, the other two really aren't shabby at all and I would love to see that in any heroic I go into. 6k is definitely on the low end though.

is battle.net down? I can't launch WoW (launcher or exe) or connect using Starcraft II (asks to play offline) but I have an internet connection, even rebooted. I can get to wow's website.

Even if it's maintenance hours, I should at least be able to authenticate.

Yeah everything is down from here too. Launcher can't even connect.

Full 8 hour maintenance today (3-11am Pacific).

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, January 11th. Maintenance will begin at 03:00 AM PST and conclude at approximately 11:00 AM PST. During this time, all realms and many web services will be unavailable.

Thank you for your patience.

Tremor Totem has been redesigned. The totem is now usable under Fear, Charm, or Sleep effects, and pulses much more rapidly, but lasts 6 seconds and has a 1-minute cooldown.

Well... that sucks for anything but PVP.

Was in a heroic Throne of Tides last night where a ret pally was doing 3.5k and a mage was doing 5k. Pugging is awesome.
yea my SS might not have been the best but yea this is bad. how is that even possible? friend of mine on his moon chicken was doing 8k DPS in his 2nd heroic ever spamming nothing but wrath

Are there raid boss fights which could use the old tremor totem? I really have only used it in 5-mans and dropping it the instance it fears us isn't so bad... yes the short duration & CD will suck though.
