so last night I decided I'd start killing Attumen in KZ every week for the mount on my paladin.

take the port from Ogri to blasted lands, fly over to KZ, and discover the hard way that you still need a key to get in... so like 4 hours later, I've solo'd shadow labs, arc, and black morass and I'm finally back in front of KZ and whups, you still need to be in a raid to zone in. /facepalm
 
Yeah it's a pain. You can ask someone from guild to help with the raid group, maybe by grouping with one of their alts as they can't quest while in the raid group.

Anyway, I have also left my rogue for my paladin these days with rogue having the Attumen's mount (probably the only time in the whole BC that my dice actually rolled something higher than a 30. lol), but my Paladin has the Baron's mount so it's somewhat of an even trade-off.

Its time consuming. I got to 150 or so last night. One of the keys to leveling it is to keep all your fragments until you hit 100, don't do any solving until 100 because at 100 you stop getting skillups for your digs. Another thing about it, is if you have something in mind that you're working for, for instance Zin'Rokh, you want to keep all the fragments for the race that would give you that item. For Zin'Rokh its a troll artifact, so you want to keep all the troll fragments you get until you get to 450 Archeology (which is the level required to have a chance at researching Zin'Rokh). Then when you get to 450 you solve all of your troll pieces and hope that one of them is Zin'Rokh.

Its a huge time sink, and I recommend 310% flying mount for it as well.

I've only gotten one archaeology rare so far, and it's pretty lame: Druid and Priest Statue Set. Archaeology is only 200 or so.
 
I just tried Tol Barad. All I can say is what the hell were they thinking? The attackers need to cap and defend 3 bases concurrently. The defenders only need to hold on to one to win. So the attackers need to split into 3 groups and the defenders can stay together as one. 1 group>1/3 of a group. I'm really scratching my head wondering how attackers have any hope of winning.
 
So, I farmed a bunch of Whiptail earlier today and I have around 300. I've been working on Stormvine and I literally have around 80... this stuff is such a pain in the ass to get.

It really needs to be adjusted if it's a main ingredient in a flask.

Unless you hunt for sales, it willbe hard to get cata for much less than 40. There have been recent lich sales for as low as 10-20. Depends on how long you want to wait for them.

thats some sort of bad joke, no one in my guild fishes
my fishing skill is like 100, i haven't fished since vanilla

From what I've read (may have even been in this thread somewhere), the fish all have to be fished from pools as well, which makes it a complete bitch.

It's entirely possible but it's quite the thread you've got here 🙂

Cat I don't so much mind paying for but Lich King is still 40 bucks from Blizzard and Amazon. Seems a bit high for a two year old expansion.
 
Well Wrath was $10 the week before Cataclysm came out. Maybe Blizzard will do another sale for Christmas.

Yeah that's just crazy. I'm glad I grabbed a whole pre-Cata set for a second account when Blizzard had their Black Friday sale for $20 ($5 + $5 + $10). That's just the perfect price for them.

They're probably going to reduce the price soon and/or come out with a new Battle Chest which includes Lich King. I doubt this Battle Chest will be priced less than the $40 original one is priced, though.
