confirmed: people saying that leveling is a joke are overgeared.

my priest is wearing typical leveling gear. I hit 80 the other day and went straight to Vashjir in my Northrend green/blue leveling quest rewards.

my rotation went from mindblast -> mindflay x2 -> SWD -> end fight at 100% mana/health

to mindblast -> mindflay x20 -> SWD -> end fight at 50% mana/health

and going straight from northrend to cat, you can't actually queue up for the level 80 Cat instance.

You sure about that? My DK had ~5.5k gs and barely had 4 days played at 80 before cata and leveled to 82 in about 5 hours played. Leveling is very easy, only done a few instances which was more for a change of pace. Not hurting for life after multiple pulls, my dps sucks because I'm blood spec but that is to be expected. I think I've actually only had to stop to eat once and that was because I blood boiled off my mount like a nub. Should be 85 by tomorrow night and I'm not going all that hardcore, didn't touch beta, just questing.

maybe it's a shadow priests sucking issue, but any time I found myself with an add or two (gogo 3 dimensional mob placement) I was popping pots and going out of shadowform to heal.

edit: replaced all my WotLK gear with BoE cat greens. increased my hp/mana by 10K, spellpower by 1K, and haste/crit by 10% each. big difference. still seems like a weird progression path though.

I think its less the DK and more the Blood aspect of it. I find my Blood heals are obscene while leveling. Not to mention I'm stacking mastery from my T10 so most things cannot even break down my blood shield. But for instance an unholy buddy of mine has to rest a good bit.

Odd... my mage created a portal to Stormwind and now the game is telling me that my Shaman (that's in my party) can't use it? Fucking eh.

I ended up taking the mole machine to Blackrock Caverns and then just flying to SW instead :\.

I'm leveling frost and I just blow everything up in about 5-6 seconds never have to eat or even death strike...

Anyone else find it annoying that the 277 ilvl greens are worse than 264 epics, but you have to wear the greens to have high enough average ilvl to do instances >.<

not so much that people are overgeared you are just undergeared

played for a few hours last night hit 81 just turining in dailys and running BRC a few times, replaces my offhand and one of my trinkets already

my complaint from last night... the Nemesis quest in Hyjal is near impossible with like a 10:1 horde ratio. It's the quest where you lead a turtle which also DPS's down the tunnel and there are mobs all the way through. When I finally get to nemesis un-ganked, a horde manages to tag it first. Then it clears out and I have my turn, but he takes forever to spawn so more horde come and wait... but they don't, they gank my lonely ass.

I'm going to vash.. sucks I came this far in Hyjal and can't finish it at this point.

Ali/Horde issues here when i was on last night wernt an issue, people seemed to leave each other alone, the prob was getting quests done because so many were doing them. i gave up trying to do the SEAL equipment one in vashir because 900 other people were camping it at the same time

I'm disappointed to hear about the leveling speed. I've pretty much gotten out of the raiding game and actually do enjoy leveling through new content.

I hit 81.5 in about 4 hours played. I did some guild instances which slowed me down a bit. I hope there is alot of end game content.

I only did Hyjal last night and got 2 full levels out of it. I wasn't expecting that much. The only annoying part was waiting for respawns. I haven't done any of the instances yet, how were they? Are they pug-able?

My wife and I started up questing on my Ret Paladin and her Restro Shaman. It's super easy for us to kill mobs but a pain in the ass when there are a bajillion horde around on a PvP server. We ended up quiting last night just over halfway to 81. There were a few times some horde tried to gank us but I managed to murder them pretty easy in PvE gear lol.

Also the only thing I've really replaced were my gloves, everything else that I've got from quest rewards blows. My Paladin was right at 6K GS when Cataclysm released.

there are many more quests there then that needed for zone achievement

after you do the stuff that involved nemesis and all that there is nearly an equally as long part doing twilight cultists stuff in the other half of the zone, the part that used to be winterspring

Bunch of my guildies hit 85\84 last night. They seem to not be trading out their tier bonuses just off pieces and weapons. Anyone else having this experience or are they doing it wrong? 😛

i am really enjoying the kelp forest. i tired MH when it went live but there were thousands of toons and trying to hit a moob before somebody else was just a royal pain in the ass. so i went to the underwater world and had a blast. Im about 4 bubbles from 82. the achievement says there are 130 quest there but ive only done like 40 i i havent seen anymore quest givers. tonight im headed over to the shimmering place next to the kelp forest.

They are wrong you need IIRC an average ilevel of 326 to get into Heroics

if its not 326 its right around the 320 area
