My Mage is on a very underpopulated server. Im looking forward to leveling in peace unlike during BC and WoTLK in Illidan.

umm, new herbalism trainer for cata? Don't see any new ones listed on wowhead? Is there a place where all the trainers are?

IIRC, you train the new professions at the main city, i.e. Org

I read that leveling is a joke. People are hitting 85 within 8-10 hours played. Some guildmates are 83 now and they didn't touch beta. At this rate, I'll expect raid content being downed by the end of this week.

Anyone else finding it as easy as everyone says? I thought that the mobs were supposed to be beefed up and taking on 2+ was a "challenge" and you may die.

little more than 9 hours from release and here we've got about a dozen 84's closing in on 85 already. think all the gathering profs have been done except maybe first aide.

Talked to a guildie, she said she could easily fight 4 mob at once without losing much health on her paladin. Realm is less crowded Noe during the day than it was last night at release

I'm not sure why people are surprised to see 85s popping so soon. Look at the big picture. You have people who are in tier 10 and pros in their classes running around since the server went live. Average joe is not going to level near that fast, linear quest lines or not. Also, its 5 levels..not 10. Some of these people took off of work for the rest of the week just to do this. I don't blame blizzard for making the game too easy. They had to create a baseline and the people who are rushing to 85 at 12am on launch day do not represent the casual player. 😛

I definitely think posting on forums, reading mmo-champ, etc gives people an unrealistic idea of what the average WoW player is actually like.

my 13 year-old cousin plays WoW... during Burning Crusade, he was amazed that my sister and I both had level 70 characters (didn't mention the fact that we each had like 3 70's 😱)

Yup I know some people that are like "woahh you have 3 80s!!" when they are struggling to get their level 50 rogue up after months.

oh, and we already have level 85 🙂

Was your first post just sarcasm?

I haven't even logged in yet. :'(

I'm really surprised how quickly people are questing through to 85, I guess this patch is mainly about low level questing, dungeons and raids? Are the new 80-85 zones at least eye candy?

Why even bother with levels at all.

Everyone knows or quickly learns a character's real level = iLVL

These quests are dumb. Its one giant questline so far in Vashj'ir. I can't decide if I should hit up Deepholm or Hyjal next. Any thoughts on these two zones?

just got first crafting server first that I noticed, inscription. so is that the easiest?

also just got first realm 85, good thing I didn't try to seriously go for it as it was a lock from what i could tell when i last did a scan for 84s then looked at his guild he had a bunch of them helping him with that mob tag method.

yep, the quest are much more linear than even in wrath. they are using it this time around as a heavy story telling element and it's gone much further than the breadcrumb method as it seems the next location won't even open up most of the quest givers till you have worked on a certain quest strand up to them.

Worgen transfer complete. I didn't realize they nerfed the racial though. (40% movement increase, 3 minute cd?). I probably should have done some research before spending $25. Gnome is still the strongest alliance warrior race, but it's fun to try something new. Anyone else on Alterac Mountains server btw?

Also, are there any rep tabards to pick up right @ 80 for dungeon rep farming (other than the major cities)?

you mean aside from ebon blade, argent crusade, wyrmrest? They all require friendly too.

Or did you mean @ 85...?

And the fact you say Gnome warriors make the best alliance warrior race makes me want to /quit.

Hodir? I'm sure most the factions have tabards available at 80 while neutral and friendly

I guess I meant "new" factions. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a new faction while I grind to 85.

wow there's a queue to login now... I'm #155, 6 minutes. Black Dragonflight. Man I recollect the old days where we had to wait like 40 minutes.

Glad I got the earlier quests done, it's gotta be a madhouse right now with those first few chains of quests.

While quickly clicking to learn flying, I accidentally learned 310%. Bye bye 4k gold.

EDIT: Also, druid water form as fast as hell
