Couple other items I remembered that may be of interest:
Druids are getting a glyph to allow old tree form, but no female moonkins aren't getting "curvier and more boobs" even though some chick asked them.
Path of titans totally gone, end result is the general feel they wanted was added as the new glyph system with 3 tiers of glyphs.
They are thinking about some clothing closet system to store all those non-stat armor items to get them out of main inventory.
They would like to up the main backpack size with all other bags getting bigger, haven't figured it out yet.
Due to number of playback recording devices currently available and amount of resources it would take at this point to install such a system into the establish game code, no intention to try and create an ingame method to do so.
Even though we now have 2 types of loot points, the problems with the old badge system will be avoided as we will only ever have two types, when a new tier is release previous top tier will be revised to use lower tier points and current top tier will use upper tier points. (No mention given though if they will down convert your current top tier points when they do so although personally wouldn't be surprised if something along this line happens).
Only areas you won't be able to fly are in BGs, arenas, and the open area pvp areas when the pvp event is in process.

And about the playback thing... WoW on the Mac has a built-in game recorder, but Windows doesn't? I guess we have to pay $30 for FRAPS.

Okay so I found an answer to my DPS issues with my Hunter. With all the testing of Marksman and Survival I had only done minimal testing on Beast Master.
I kept going through all the top hunters on my server, looking for some idea of what the Good Hunters were doing and I noticed that many of these hunters I had emulated in the past were now BM spec. With this thought in mind I decided to give BM a serious effort.
I respected from Survival to BM and dusted off my old Core Hound Peaches.
Hopeful though not expecting too much I headed to the test dummies. After some serious time on them I was still coming up with 5800 to 6000 DPS on my own but the pet DPS jumped from an anemic 800-1000 DPS to 2500.
Putting out a combined 8500 DPS on my best tests as opposed to 6800 combined DPS as a Marksman elicited the first smile Ive had in game since the patch went live. I toyed around with some other pets and while the DPS was about the same having the additional ability of my Core Hound slowing casting time of opponents tipped the balance in favor of using him. Not that the inside Melee DPS in the guild like having a giant, green glowing, two headed dog with a drooling problem in their face all the time but they will cope.
Our Raid leader, a masochistic Gnome Death Knight, decided that we needed to give the previously untouched blood wing a shot. Great a completely new spec with completely different shot/pet attack preferences and fights I had never seen. What could possibly go wrong?
It took us about 5 or 6 attempts to learn the Blood Princes fight but we managed to take them out. The encouraging sign for me was that with BM spec I was running near the top of the DPS charts again and not at the bottom.
For now Im happy with the BM spec and expect my DPS to improve even more as I get used to it. Maybe with Cobra Shot at level 81 and Fox at 85 Ill be enticed back to Marksman or Survival but for now I completely understand why so many Hunters are switching to Beast Master.
Now if ANYONE has a good Hunter UI they have used and can recommend Id love to hear about it.

Was that blood wing on heroic? Man, I never liked princes much on heroic, but with the new tanking changes, a pally tank is pretty awesome at ranged tankin Keleseth because of how ridiculously hard HoW hits now. I just use a macro that uses HoW on my focus target and set my focus to him. As I run around collecting the shadowy orbs, I turn and hit the macro.
BQL on heroic isn't too bad though.

one thing i'm loving is that once again my thunderfury stacks with melee attack speed debuff! <3<3 hopefully this is not a bug and they won't fix it but it's probably just another unaddressed bug. i love how paladins are like the only class that can effectively tank using tf. i used it at every opportunity and have successfully tanked most bosses with it without dps pulling hate. this was running with a rather high dps guild group always. although crusader strike threat is nice, our heavy hitting proc abilities are a ton of our threat generation now. free avenger shield procs and 3xHP shield of righteousness seem to be a ton of threat ever a fight. i haven't really had much trouble with most fights after the patch using tf. warriors are doing a stupid crazy amount of threat though with aoe it seems. i have to switch back to my normal weapon in some cases on aoe threat packs.
as far as hunter UIs? i have never used any class specific UIs. i use shadowed unit frames, sraidframes for raids, bartender, sexymap, (haven't used any buff bars since patch but i need some new ones), no chat mods, deus vox or whatever and bigwigs for another set of boss mods at times. i was using a cooldown monitor before that was a part of a huge warlock centric addon package but i forgot the name of it and i'm unable to see it b/c i'm not home. basically it was a huge addon and i used one tiny aspec of it which was a slider bar that shows cooldowns used and it ticks down to 0 to show when they are available again. completely not needed but i used it anyway. i keep it simple really. i can't stand grid, although i know tons of people jumped on the bandwagon a few years ago and love it. i love my sraidframes though and they seem much more configurable than grid.

It's not specifically a hunter spec, buit I'm a huge fan of TukUI www.tukui.org, I use Elv's edit. It's a minimalistic UI and a lot of good edits that are shared. I think I have 6 additional add-ons for raiding.

Nope we are just trying to finish up ICC on normal, considering how late we started running it and the fact that we only raid once a week thats not bad. It was my task to grab the shadow Orbs ..... OMG that didnt go so well so we had a DK do it and that worked

oh god, how could i forget clique?! i used click2cast for ages and made the switch to clique when it was updated and finally overtook click2cast for ease of use. click mods like these are quite possibly the best mods every created for wow. they contribute to this game more than any other mod available. this is not an opinion! you play better and do things faster and more efficiently with click mods.
ora2 is also a great mod for raid leaders and people who generally love information including tank tabs, etc.

My Non-Raid UI (with the Guild chat tab put with the others since I'm not in a guild). During raids, Omen appears to the left of my mini-map, Recount appears above that, Grid appears above the chat boxes and DBM bars appear to the left of my buffs and when they're almost done, they move to above my button bars.

The main addons that I use are Pitbull, Dominos, Quartz, CursorCompanion and Satrina Buff Frames (though not being able to click off buffs is annoying).
The less important (ie: cosmetic) addons that I use are: Bagnon, BasicMinimap, Chatter, NugRunning, kgPanels, SCT, and shPerformance (with Fortress as the LDB display)
Just came back to the game and haven't done any raiding (and don't plan on doing any on my hunter), but I do also have omen and recount. But right now my focus is on the Argent Tournament dailies to get some heirloom gear for my goblin rogue.

Killing athas with full gear months after perfecting strategy is easier at 0 buff than mediocar gear with 5%. Just sayin.

With 4.0.1 and the death of QuestHelper I have been looking for a replacement. Until that comes along I thought I would enable the in game quest tracker that was added back in 3.3 (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p3/newquestui.xml). However for the life of me I can't not get the damn thing to work.
When I open the quest log and select which quests I want to track it will add it to the objectives window but there is no arrow in the mini map to guide me to the general direction. The only time the arrow appears in the mini map is when I have completed a quest and wants me to turn it in. There is also no Show Map button in the top right corner of the quest log. According to the link I provided there should be this button and when clicked it will highlight the area on the world map.
I have tried resetting all of the default options inside the game. I have deleted my Addon and WTF folders but can not get this feature to work on any of my toons. Any ideas?

I tried arms last night. It's incredibly strong, but still can't hold a candle to the flexibility and control of prot in PVP. But as rage generation is lacking for prot warriors (in PVP at least), I'll have to stay arms until it's rebalanced. A good fix for prot would be up the damage on devastate and revenge slightly, and reducing the rage cost of devastate. That would fix most of the issues.
Side note, I finally achieved Loremaster last night. Though, I'll probably never sport the title over R Glad or W Glad
Well, I didn't realize how good Arms PvP was now but I keep hearing it. Last night an Arms warrior schooled me twice in open world PvP while I was doing some AT dailies.
I know I'm still rusty, but dang, I didn't even put up a good fight. I am Fury right now so it's not optimal, but I figured with my "decent" PvP gear (a couple wrathful pieces and mostly relentless-- I'm up to 1000k resil now) I would at least make a good showing.
I think the first thing he did was disarm me...after that it was a blur b/c I was like "wtf just happened!". It made me realize I need alot of practice and that if I want to PvP again I should look at Arms harder.
What are your thoughts on going with incite vs. the self healing talents?

Nothing wrong with needing a good set of gear to kill a hard end boss without difficulty... it makes it feel like gettin all that sexy gear is for more than just gearscore bragging rights.
I don't doubt that others could/have done it as well.

So, I reactivate my account. Try to get into my old guild, but they get a message that I'm already in a guild... Put in a ticket like 4 days ago and it still hasn't been resolved >.<
Thanks for the suggestions on UI add on programs. Already running DBM, a must for raiding, and Recount. I did use Zug Zug hunter but thats no longer needed with the talent changes.

I dont quest much on my hunter other than doing some daily quests for gold but Im leveling a Druid just in case things dont turn out well with the Hunter. Im using the in game quest tracker and I dont find it to be terrible. I havent messed with getting the arrow to point at the quest I want to track and it appears to shift to the closest quest objective but not all the time.
It hasnt really been an issue with me because with two horde level 80 and three Alliance level 80 and a bunch more toons everywhere from level 30 to level 60 Ive done these quests so many times I know where most everything is.
I still think Quest Helper was superior to the in game quest tracker, but the in games not terrible. Never used Carbonite.
