Pretty sure I have tiptac and I get it every time at the headsman pumpkin.

Some resilience nerfs coming to make the never die healers not quite so invulnerable.

I'm starting to hate the damn rotations blizz is implementing for all the classes. Basically it's pushing 2 buttons until one of 6 other abilities come of c/d or proc. That feels an awfully lot like that inane crap in those slow motion console game segments. Just keep it at the main 2-3 buttons, it doesn't make it any more fun to be mashing those while watching half a bar's worth of buttons for the to lit up (not to mention that with some classes it's so bad I can't even imaging the get out of the fire yelling to come).

Ya, it's pretty bad. I switched from Ret PvP to Prot PvP along with every other paladin. I think my resil is at 1200 or so. My wife, a holy Paladin, is at the same resil and she had 4-5 Horde trying to kill her while she just stood there healing herself in one BG. It was pretty funny I have to admit.

I had a ret pally kill me in about 5s last night while doing dailies...and the sad part is that I jumped him because I was itching for a fight.

I'm a Arms warrior with about 850 resil, the rest PvE gear. I don't remember all my stats, but I believe I'm sitting at about 30k hp in my PvP gear. I was a little surprised and how easy he took me down.

I’m sorry but I simply don’t get what Blizzard is up to with Hunters.....

I think you just might need some more practice with the new resource mechanic. My hunter buddy was still doing damn decent damage in PvE (as Marks). His biggest complaint was PvP viability, but IMO PVP right now is a crapshoot for every class.

Check out Hunters Union and even Elitiest Jerks for threads on how to best utilize focus.

While it was a wonky mechanic, I think Vigilance worked the best as it directly fed off of a player's threat, but you also had to be sort of smart in choosing the best person to give it to. Best DPS was not always the highest threat.

Ya, 850 resil isn't that much. I was around 1100 in my Ret spec and I was getting my ass handed to me in BGs. I was surprised how fast my HP went down.

I just restarted my account and started leveling a shaman. Logged on my main(s) as well, and I have no idea wtf is even going on anymore lol. Haven't played in ~6-9 months.

Adding on to that, Blizz apparently broke professions, at least for new players.

Yeah last night I was running guild premades in WSG and AB. I was the only healer we pretty much rolled over people (minus 1 or 2 other premades that made it a little fun) and never lost. At one point I had the flag and was sitting in their GY while 4 or 5 beat on me. A little nerf never hurt anyone :p

To throw in a vaguely relevant two cents: my war has only 560 and I was destroyed by a rogue with 0 resilience (at least that's what he said). I just respecced to ARMS/FURY from Fury/Prot mainly because i'm tired of using Fury in pvp. Very much rusty with Arms...end up grasping for what to press and when. Any advice for a new arms war?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

wowscrnshot101610172319.jpg

What are the mods you use for frames? I have recognize a few of them. I have not played in over a year, and am a Warlock, so I am trying to see what I can get better for me.

Right now my professions are Enchanting and Tailoring but I am wanting to drop one for Mining so I can make money. I even thought about dropping both for Mining and JCing. Any thoughts?

When is the new patch 4.0 coming out? I haven't played in months and haven't kept up with updates.

So when 4.0 comes out, is that when the taking back gnomeragen and the trolls starting home (echo isles?) event starts?

Is that also when Deathwing comes out and changes the lands/areas?

Edit: Looks like 4.0.1 is out already. So has the events started yet or do those occur Dec 7th when Cata comes out?

While I can always improve my shot priority and thats what I've been focusing on ( LOl get it?) but after weeks of working the dummies and following advice from EJ and all the other high end sites I’m still at a loss. EJ says that the theory crafting is still going on but the hunter sites that EJ links to as a resource acknowledges the drop in DPS.

Had this been an overall drop on all pure DPS classes I would never be QQing. When I look over and see a shaman hitting 19 K DPS on ICC trash mobs and critting for 33 K.

Being told to wait for level 85 isn’t the response we want to hear

The downside of Mining is that it only provides a useful bonus for tanks.

I am looking for a money maker more than an added bonus. This is my only character as I work all the time and have a family. I have a level 70 rogue but refused to level him due to level 77 required for flying.

I have not played in 15 months. I gave someone all my gold (30k for an enchanter and tailor) and it was all gone (went to help others out that came back over time so it was a good cause and he thought I was never coming back) but 2k of it was left over and I got that back.

I like Tailoring for the carpet and Lightweave. Enchanting has +SP to rings. What would be nice to pick along with mining? I am thinking about dropping enchanting as I have never made any money from it.

The dungeons and justice points system are really nice to me as I don;t want to raid hardcore anymore. I just came back to chill with friends and run 5 mans with an occasional raid.

I think if you have an 80 you can fly much earlier if you by the Cold Weather Flying Tome, not sure though...

I just looked at my level 70 rogue and he is a 375 miner / herbalist. I may try to level him to 80 for farming.

I think a lot of Arms Warriors spec into Slam but I didn't. I wish I could look at my spec here at work but I can't. Right now my Warrior feels somewhat like the way my Ret Paladin was before the patch.

Also, I haven't had a chance to PvP with him since the new patch but before the patch Arms PvP was a piece of cake for me.

Check out the EJ forums - There is a thread on the current changes discussing (among other things) whether Slam is worth using at all, whether talented or not. Last I looked, there was no overall conclusion. But the debate had moved a bit to describe specific conditions under which it might be worthwhile (i.e. if you can hit it in the first couple 10ths of a proc and other abilities happen to be on CD...)

My personal takeaway from reading that section of the thread was along the lines of "...geeezzz... if it's that annoying to use, then fuggit..." Hopefully we'll see clear guidance one way or another. Even if it's something like ...'well.. if you have more than *** Haste value then hit it under condition ###..."

There's also some interesting discussion on Arms guys hanging in Berzerker and stance dancing for Rend, rather than staying in Battle Stance as would have been the norm in WoTLK. Return of the Overpower Macro!?!? :hmm:

I would love to give some tips, but TBH, I have been gone from WoW since last June (and before that I was playing my DK). I am a long time warrior but most of my pvp experience was at Lvl 70.

I have been Arms for a total of 2 days now so I don't value my own opinion much at this point! Honestly, my gear isnt' really optimized for PvP atm either. A few things I will say:
-after being TG Fury I feel like I hit with a limp noodle as Arms--even MS seems weak. As another poster said, i didn't spec for slam. I have personally never liked that ability unless it was a rage free, instant proc.
-I spec'd into 2nd wind and whatever the first tier talent is called for increasing healing effects on you. I also glyphed my victory rushs to increase healing by 50% and I am seeing 12-15k HEALING from a victory rush which is pretty dang awesome IMO. I did some open world PvP against a lock last night and this ability saved me.
-I love the new "throwdown" ability (5s stun)
-I wouldn't even know a good strategy for rogues anymore, if they have had half as many changes as Warriors they have tools/strats against us that I am unfamiliar with. I know that if I was going to 1v1 a rogue the first thing I would do would try to disarm him and get thunderclap/demo shout and a rend on him. Because our bladestorm can be disarmed, I would want to save that until after he disarmed me. I would also save throwdown for an all out effort to burst a rogue down--ie, after he is at 50% health or so. Otherwise he'll vanish/sprint/blind etc. and get away if he see's he's going to lose.
-I haven't even bothered creating a macro to switch to 1h/shield for spell reflect. I just go down swinging against mages who destroy me easily.
-I've heard Mastery is a good stat to reforge into for Arms
-Rage hasn't been a problem at all for me so far
-I am saving up to get the Wrathful Axe (297 dps or so?) which will be a huge upgrade my my ilvl 232 axe..

Although Arms is nice, i'm almost ready to head back to Fury land. I don't enjoy dpsing a heroic with Arms (dps went way down for me) and Fury isnt' that bad for PvP from what I've seen.

There are some new pvp talents int he Fury tree (at least they werent' there last I played) such as the talent that resets the CD on intercept, the talent to reduce healing by 20% from auto swings, and the healing available through bloodthirst (I've never glyphed this up to see how well it will heal yet), and of course piercing howl.

If you want to laugh at my scrub gear and see the spec I am trying out, I am Splatter on Dunemaul.

You can buy cold weather flying at 68 now even if you don't have an 80.
yup. the tome of cold weather flying no longer exists.

just a side-note, though, the trainer only exists in Borean Tundra. there's no corresponding flight trainer in Howling Fjord.
