Wow. That's a VERY vibrant shade of red. Almost cartoonish like. And I'm seeing this on a 15 year old SDR display. Were you blinded by that heavy dose of red? Where did you capture this moment? Seems like a very exotic lizard species. Maybe in Indonesia or Sumatra?

Actually I took that shot right in my backyard fence line here in Hawaii. I think it some kind of invasive species that showed up in my neighborhood around 20 years ago. That guy refused to back down on me of which was to my advantage as far as getting a decent shot of it.

Color depth and saturation is I'm guessing a result of a stackup of factors that include the shaded lighting, the use of a circular polarizer, the camera itself (Canon R3) the lens (100L IS Macro I think)<----I'll check metadata on this and the scripted actions that I input into the initial post processing of all my photos.

Went to brunch in Brooklyn today and was at a subway station I'd never been that was more elevated than any other one I've seen. Saw a new view and way to frame the one world trade center skyline. Also some intense looking woman on the subway with a serious stance going on.

Here is a macro of a tomato seedling I captured years ago, using a reversed 50mm Nikon prime on a D50.
That's a great shot. I haven't tried reversing a lens since I moved to digital. I had a reversing ring for Pentax K mount. I don't know if they are still made.

Edit: Yep.

Good macro shot. Seems macro is on the minds of many!

Just randomly came her to post an old macro I took and then saw that, because I was just checking my kit and realized I miss using my macro lens to shoot stuff! Looking forward to some flowers and bugs!

speaking of bugs here is a little guy I shot in a similar flower to this one

Playing around with some low light slower shutter shots...the moon was pretty bright and lots of clouds in the sky...

Took this around 11P last night so it was pretty dark out... F2.8 3/5 ISO 250

Havent really taken shots like this before and was really surpised how much color was actually captured in the shot...

Seen on this evening's dog walk. I've passed by this whole lot of times but I never looked up at that spot.

I like living around here. You see these flags, not Confederate ones.
