Looks like he's smirking at you.

Pretty sure he heard the dog barking and knew she couldn't do anything behind the window...

Looks like a perfectly square piece is missing from the left ear. I wonder if that was from a fight or something but it doesn't look like something that would have happened naturally.

White throated thrush eating hackberries, Madera Canyon, Santa Rita Mtns, Arizona. The trush is a Mexican species, rarely seen in Texas. This specific bird was the first reported for Arizona in January of this year. So far, this is the only individual of the species sighted in Arizona. Birders have been pouring in from around the country to see it.

Her expression and clothing caught my eye from nearly the entire block away.

Worried:

Continuing on my elegant trogon kick…
The bird has been really accommodating, landing right in front of me yesterday.

The coati has his own feeder now, an attempt to keep him from destroying the rest of the hummingbird feeders and to keep him away from people.

Trying to do different things these days besides candid portraits although I still see the world that way and enjoy taking portraits that way more than anything else.

Couldn't use my favorite lens, the 85mm, because my SO and daughter were using it, so I used the 135mm. Accidentally shot in JPEG so I couldn't edit the shot to exactly what I wanted, but I think black and white works well enough.

For this shot, I wanted to show motion and more of the environment of the neighborhood and challenged myself to use the 25mm and get better at panning shots. Still haven't nailed the pan. Feels like maybe I should put the camera on a mono- or tripod and swivel it that way.
