Can't wait to see a stacked picture of the moon. I didn't even know we had such an event going on.... just commented to a coworker "wow moon looks weird tonight...must be the smog" :( didn't have my camera.

Not sure how stacking would work during a lunar eclipse - the face of the moon is continuously changing, so I'm not sure stacking would be effective ?

lol reminds me of when we had a solar eclipse not that long ago. I'm standing outside looking at the sun with a coworker "I think there's suppose to be a solar eclipse right now, but it looks kinda normal and I woujld expect the moon to at least be nearby and can't see it"

All that time I was freaking staring at it. It WAS in eclipse mode. I kinda had a head ache that night lol. It was a partial and because the sun was so bright I could not actually see the moon.

I want to invest in some kind of solar filter though, would be neat to get pictures of the sun, safely.

Posted this in the lunar eclipse OT thread, but it fits here too.

The clouds cleared up a little as the eclipse was receding.

Shot with a T5i and 200mm/2.8L Canon prime lens.

From last night's Tigers/Rangers game, Fielder hitting a solo shot in the 4th and one of Verlander as he launched one over the plate.

Was foggy this morning, thought I'd take a couple spooky looking shots. Kinda "Silent Hill" esque

I'm hoping to go out and get pics in the bush once the leaves start changing more,

Moon last night, still pretty bright as the earth is still near line of sight from the sun. (at least that's my guess)

Somewhat blurry, it's really tricky to try to get it dialed in just right.

^ nice viewpoint, used to visit a friend in Novato, pretty area.

Sunset pano stitched in ICE. Actually used the autocomplete feature to fill out a few small gaps.

Normally it's not so bad. I think the glow off the light clouds gave it the spotlight effect.

Yea, looks damn cool. =)

Went hiking up the flatirons in Boulder today, this little fella was where we stopped at peak 1 begging for protein bar.

Aw, so cute! And a great shot. And the rays of light in the other one.. damn. What is "ICE"? Image Composite Editor?

Haven't been out shooting much lately, but I did bring my camera along for a hike one afternoon. I saw some majestic light shining through the clouds, but it only lasted about 30 seconds, totally missed it. Damn I was annoyed! lol. but i still got this shot of fall colour:

Yea, Image Composite Editor, haven't found anything better for putting together handheld shots.

I have had less time to get out and shoot than I want as well, so when my friend invited me to go hiking yesterday I blew off the yard work and took the camera. I love the fall colors, need to get out and get some myself before the season is gone.

Another ICE pano taken from a set I took near the crest.

The Basilique Notre-Dame, a two second exposure with the kit lens on a tripod at 55mm:

Another part of it, shot through 50mm prime hand-held:

And some colorful reflections on the ground while still playing with my friend's 50mm prime:
