^ the fireworks lighting up the windswept smoke left behind from previous mortars is a very cool effect...fantastic colors too!

Thanks guys! Nice butterfly quack!

I have a plan for next year, should be able to do a better job with the fireworks. :D

Here's a few more fireworks:

Wow, those clouds look fantastic, although a bit embellished...was that taken with any effects on, like HDR or something? also, the colors on those granite rocks came through quite well...

3 exposure HDR, 8mm fisheye. I intentionally overcooked it. :D

Trying to upload a more natural take.

This one is still overcooked, but toned down compared to the earlier one:

This is a much more natural look (not representative of reality though, was very drab out there):

And an experiment. This was a 5 minute exposure. I should have sat on the opposite side of the frame. I didn't realize my mistake until after the shot and didn't feel like spending another 10 minutes on it:

Blinded by the light... literally. The OVF made it difficult to frame properly. :(

10 minute exposure, had to wipe water off the filter every few minutes. :p

Here is a shot I recently took of Manchester Cathedral. This place was one of the first places that I photographed when I was just starting photography years ago. It was nice to come back with my current skills and shoot the place again.

Settings

Camera : Canon EOS 7D
Lens : Canon EF-S 10mm to 22mm
Aperture : F9
ISO : 100
Shutter Speed : 2.5 sec, 13 sec, 30 sec (I took 3 different exposures for the hdr image)

Beautiful! You should post one of your earlier ones to see how far you've come. :)
