And that Christmas Day blizzard picture is breath-taking, particularly for us Miami dwellers: can almost feel the cold air.

Repoman, what car is that? Is it a stick shift?

Most people would probably prefer to admire it from afar in a place like Miami 😛

The car is a 2006 Miata, and yeah it was a 6 speed manual. I rented it from a guy on Turo, where I typically go for rentals within the states (cheaper than a normal chain and cooler cars). Perfect car for driving around California for a week.

Goofing around with a single on-camera flash bounced off a wall in an otherwise dark room. My Tamron 17-50/2.8 at 50mm and minimum focus distance. Stoeger Single Action Army clone in .357/.38 special.
 
Wife got me an Olympus M. Zuiko 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 II lens for Christmas. Tried it out in the backyard then took the family down to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park for a bit of a trial run. The long reach (35mm equivalent of 150-600mm) means it'll take a bit of practice but I'm liking the results of a 1st outing. All handheld as well. I do love that Olympus OIS.

The Town of Gilbert experienced stupid levels of growth in the past decade. When the need for a new sewage treatment plant became apparent, the town designed the treatment plant to serve as a wetlands preserve and public park.

Couple random phone pictures while I was out for a walk. Was nice out and actually my first time going to the lake in winter, I did not realize it was even walkable but enough people walk it that it keeps the snow packed down.
