I figured SOME sort of post was done, as i touch up 99% of my photos as well, even if it's just exposure and white balance. It's just the flag and the tagging just POP out of there.... , good edits!

Thank you! and oh yes, i most certainly edited this as I do 99% of the time hehe. Using Lightroom, this one has a bit of added "clarity" and "vibrance", and I used the adjustment brush to brighten the snow and the buildings and the side of the canal a little bit while not blowing out the sky detail or water. The out of camera shot looks much more flat and dull - since the light was basically shining towards the camera I had to choose between getting nice sky detail or buildings detail. Shooting in RAW let's you pull out a surprising amount of shadow detail without ruining the picture unless you went overboard with too low of an exposure or the conditions were just too extreme.

Since you're curious, here is the dull original converted from the RAW capture with no edits:

Been a while since I've posted or looked at the thread (PS4 and Destiny's fault), great photos everyone!

For the moon, I usually go f/8 and maybe 1/60 or so for the shutter. Moon photos definitely benefit from processing though. Or get creative with it. :D

I know I posted this way back in this thread, at 300mm, f/8, 1/60:

Usual sharpening and what not.

First time using the 50 f/1.4 in a while!

It's like she knows she's cute!

It's not really a cool shot. I'm learning a little here and there on using lightroom and this pic just stood out after messing around with the software.

I need to start posting more pictures to motivate me to TAKE more pictures. Mostly snapshots, but oh well, at least i'm getting shutter actuations. Busted out the wide angle. I realized i have NO idea how to use this thing.

Great animals, Nohr.

The coyote I've seen in Yosemite is ... pretty rough looking compared to the one you captured. :)

I love me some burrowing owl.
