He didn't get the memo that Monday was taken care of and to take it in tomorrow probably.

Daayyyyyyamn, what is up with all these school shootings?

More kids are whacko today then in previous years

I doubt this was a student doing the shooting. This is an Amish school. It was probably an outsider who cam in and took hostages.

Why do you doubt it? Amish people can have the same problems everyone else has.

This is sad.

Yeah, there was nothing for years and school violence as a whole was the lowest it has ever been. Now we've got kids shooting principals, whackos walking into schools, and now this in a span of a couple of weeks.

"TV footage has shown dozens of emergency workers carrying victims on stretchers, watched by anxious members of the Amish community." (from the BBC)

Interesting. I wonder what the restrictions on medical care are. I'm sure the paramedics would know them (any in the area would be trained).

i thought this sentence as interesting: "About three dozen Amish people were standing behind a police line"

why not, about "three dozen spectators", or "three dozen onlookers", or "three dozen friends and family", or "three dozen lancaster residents"........????

And sometimes more so. The movie "Devil's playground" is a documentary about amish teens. VERY enlightening to me, they are not nearly as Straight-laced as most would have you believe. See: rumspringa

Someone put forth a theory. Its a stretch, but then again.....

Many people are leaving cities to get away. They come to Colorado or some other state you choose. They bring their warped libtard beliefs and spoiled kids. Kids go crazy, havent been raised properly and pow. You get a school shooting.

People these days cant raise kids. They just dont know how. We are reaping what we sow, thats all. Its sad yes, but maybe parents need to actually RAISE their kids and quit using some hippie libtard "I'm their friend" logic.

As I said, just a theory put forth from elsewhere. Its a stretch, but then again........

Seriously. I don't understand why these suicidal nutjobs have to go out and terrorize and kill other people before they kill themselves. Why can't they just take themselves out and be done with it?

how do you know a student did it? and your arguement about parents not knowing how to raise kids is kinda mute with it comes to the Amish community. if there is any community in the US that does know how to raise kids its the Amish.

I was wondering about that too when I read this part:

"Lancaster TV station WGAL reported that the school is marked off with police tape and there were at least 13 ambulances in the area. A helicopter was overhead and several firefighting companies were on the ground."

L

Lola

this is so disturbing. :(
I also heard that 2 schools in las vegas were locked down because a person had a gun and was still "on the loose".
And then, last week, that person shot and killed a school principal. :(

A gun isn't exactly modern technology. I think Amish are pacifists, but they could still use guns to hunt.

all of your suggestions could be factually incorrect, on the other hand, the chances that there was a troupe of Amish impersonators in the vicinity is low, so the reporter is probably accurate.

I saw that too, good eye. Who gets away with calling members of the Amish Community "Amish people"? NBC5.com... that's who.
