AT I need quick advice, should I get some 5 Guys take out?

SAWYER

Lifer
I haver never had 5 Guys and I am supposed to let my wife know what I want to call in when they are about to leave the mall. I am thinking 5 Guys or Cheddars. I have had Cheddars a million times and love it but keep saying I will try 5 Guys but never have. I hear their burgers are awesome as well as they curly fries.

Of course. You should at least try it. One of my favorites.

They're not curly fries, they're like steak fries cooked in peanut oil.

Lastly, burger thread, go.

Big thick steak fries? Ughhh those are the worst. I for some reason thought they have seasoned curly fries but I do not think I have ever had fries that were cooked in peanut oil

Ya go ahead and get it. Ask them to put the Cajun spice on the french fries. Their signature gimmick is to dump a portion of fries directly into the bag. People typically become excited when exposed to this strange phenomenon.

Is Cajun spice the only option? I like spicy so that would be fine, guess I should look at their online menu.

Never heard of Chedders.

You should try 5 Guys. You might like it. Then again, you might not. In the end, how else would you ever know?

Based on your descriptions of what you like and don't like in a burger, you should maybe skip 5 Guys. Culvers or In and Out might be more in line with your tastes.

I registered on their site and have a bbq burger, extra mayo, pickles, extra cheese, tomatoes and a large order of Cajun fries ready to order and it is 13.71. That seems high unless a large order of fries is enough for two and the burgers are huge

Get a double - with whatever fixings you want.

And, I strongly suggest getting the cajun fries. Very tasty and they go well with their burgers.

WHOOPS,... to late.

The burgers are regular size. The fries,... you will wish you ordered the regular. There will be plenty and then some.

No. I refuse to support 5Guys on principle. They don't have a seedless bun option and there are millions of people with nut/seed allergies.

I decide I need to go there in person, take out fries are not a good idea. Next time I go out to dinner it will be 5 Guys. I have been saying I will do it forever but havent, shit or get off the pot I say!

I belive there is one in Fort Collins a town about 8 miles north of me. My dad and I always check these places out so maybe this year will have to see how good the food is. Last year we wen't to a place in town called Smash Burger. Was pretty good I guess, but In-N-Out is much better IMO.

My dad works half the year in North Dakota.

If you're in the mood for a bad burger, might as well save some cash and just go to McDick's.

You guys told me Five Guys was awesome years ago, and it wasn't. Yes, I'm still bitter about it. :colbert:

I will never choose McDonald's for a burger but I do like their caramel frappe, it is cheaper than a Starbuck's frapp and as good or better

I went to this ghetto drive through place in south Memphis last week called Checker's, it wasnt anything special
Checkers is just a rebranded Rallies in some areas.

They actually had some really great huge burritos locally here years ago.

They used to have some good things years ago down here, haven't hit on in ages, but that's just a drives threw anyway I guess.
