Checkers and Rallies have good battered fries. Skip their burgers. Mcdonalds still has the best burgers and fries for the price. Quarter pounder with cheese, medium fries, and medium Coke for under $6. Best price/taste value of any burger joint.

Would you believe me if I told you that once upon a time wendys was way better than five guys is now, and that mc'ds had the best fries in the business?

I am not saying they are the best fries, just better than McDonald's imo

Yeah, agreed. Like Slacker said, McD's fries were pretty damn good back in the day. They went downhill when they dumped the lard, imo. Not that they're awful now. I still think they are decent, but Wendy's are better.

Of course. You should at least try it. One of my favorites.

They're not curly fries, they're like steak fries cooked in peanut oil.

Lastly, burger thread, go.

Cooked in peanut oil? Yes.

Like steak fries? No.

I wouldn't call them steak fries. Red Robin has steak fries. These are more like wendy's natural-cut fries, but much better and with cajun spices to it.

Big thick steak fries? Ughhh those are the worst. I for some reason thought they have seasoned curly fries but I do not think I have ever had fries that were cooked in peanut oil

They are good. One small order is big enough for 2-3 people though.

You have horrible taste.

their previous thick-cut fries are better than the more recent thin fries that they moved to.

Those were the best of the fast food fries back in the day...then they converted to compete with McDonald's...and made worse fries. go figure.

No. I refuse to support 5Guys on principle. They don't have a seedless bun option and there are millions of people with nut/seed allergies.

Uh...everything in their facility is fried in peanut oil (hence the boxes of peanuts to grab & snack on), so I don't think having a seedless bun option would matter since sesame seeds are in the nut allergy family...
