I've been playing Natural Selection recently, but my roommates and I also like to play CS or CS:S.

Unfortunately, this is incorrect.

Do you say that because you love steers, or do you say that because you love queers?

Or are you equally obsessed with both?

We along with 47 other states know we are better than California. Mississippi still sucks the most though.

I live in Texas. Try being a liberal in an area surrounded by conservatives and being half black... but everyone thinks I'm from the north?!?!

Are people down there really that bad about/with so little snow?

Hell yes!

Why do they not pronounce the "H" in Humble??

Why is Manchaca pronounced man-chak?

Heh, that was one of the first wtf moments I had after moving here when I referred to it as "man-cha-ka" and was corrected by one of my friends.

I have been corrected on that as well as:

Guadalupe - pronounced here as Guadalup (no e at the end)
Burnett - pronounced here as Burn it
Mueller - pronounced here as Miller
Manor - pronounced here as May-ner

And a host of others that aren't readily coming to mind.

They are just as bad when it comes to rain. My 30 minute commute during a dry AM or PM becomes about 1:15 w/any precipitation.

on the contrary, pretty much all of southeast texas is a swamp. houston is a drained swamp. that's why we can grow so much rice here.

Do you like having toll roads with the bonus of never having potholes in major highways? Or would you rather be able to drive anyplace you like without ever paying.

Are you wearing a giant belt buckle right now?
What about cowboy boots?
String tie?
Ten-gallon hat?

(It would make my day if the answers to all the above were yes.)

It's a Southern thing (and wrong)

Humble, the feeling, is different from Humble, the city. The correct pronunciation for Humble is not that same as the one for humble.

No, but I know a lot of people that do, oddly enough.

I'm wearing blue underwear and a black teeshirt that says "forbidden subjects" on it.

No.

But now that I lost all my teeth riding bulls and in bar fights, no.
