Oriental reminds me of top ramen and dental work, asian I have nothing really associated with it 'except japanese and chinese people despite the fact that the term asian describes a lot more people than that.

Just remember. When I was a kid the term Oriental was never considered to be disrespectful or negative in any way but merely descriptive. If I use that term I mean no malice yet I try to use Asian now.
