Thank-you for calling me and my wife psychopaths. You don't know a thing about me other than I am Catholic, yet you label and diminish me as a person. That is quite simply the most close-minded, intolerant thing I have ever seen tolerated on this board in nearly 5 years. And believe me, I have debated Catholicism on here a LOT in the past.

I'll second that motion... me, my wife, my children, and my entire family for generations past, present and future thank you for your ignorance and close-mindedness

But his Priests were "lazy"! If it isn't a perfect cross it doesn't mean anything.

Obviously he never had much faith in the first place.

Quite the hypocrites aren't they?

That won't get you anything in this forum... other than a free nomex suit. :D

If you ask me... this whole society is hypocritical... makes you sick sometimes. Religous threads even without imposing any beliefs on anyone will always get a mocking here... that is their opinion... but dont generalize atheists... there are actually some that present their opinion without having to disrespect someone's faith. :)

And this thread makes it easier to pick out close-minded idiots such as yourself.

It's ? by the way, not an X.

Any more wisdom you'd like to impart upon us?

Here is some wisdom for you, it is supposed to be a ?, but priests get so lazy it usually comes out like an X. How do I know? I went to Cathloic church for 20+ yrs. Now who is the closed minded idiot? I know both sides, the religious side and the scientific/common sense side. Unfortunately you're still stuck in the fairy tale side.
rolleye.gif
But please, make sure your priest draws the ? on correctly for you. But rest assure, you'll look just as dumb as the people with Xs on their forehead. ;)

Close minded or not I wish you would respect other people's faith... even if you choose not to practice it anymore. It is their choice after all... not yours.

Quite true, a few rotten one always spoil it for the rest of the crops. I do wonder if those that whine the loudest are also the one that can't wait to put down religions whenever they can?

Did anyone else besides me fast today? BTW, if you're not Catholic and don't know about fasting on Ash Wednesday, you're only allowed to have one large meal during the day (mine being dinner) and two smaller meals that cannot add up to one full meal, but no snacks at all. Got me ashes too!

Aaaaactually, tough guy, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be an ×, as in the greek character known as Chi, which is often used to represent Christ.

Also, Optimus reminded me that fasting is about discipline. Thanks man! Hope you enjoy your doughnuts!

Oh man, where to start....

I find it funny how people would call ME "narrowminded," "bullheaded," when I actually have seen both sides. It's weird, the people making these claims, were you an Atheist as a child and then found your imaginary friend Jesus? If not, I think we can come to the conclusion who is narrow minded and who is not.

And yes, ANYONE who talks to invisible people are considered pychopaths in my book.

Please continue your rant. I love reading about lunatics and their belief in the magic man in the clouds. The stories are great. Keep 'em coming.

Dayum, only on Wednesday's and Friday's? You guys got it easy. Us Orthodox don't eat meat throughout all of Great Lent. And then we don't eat meat on Wednesday's and Friday's throughout the entire year

Unbelievable... you know NOTHING about me other than that I am Catholic, and that is enough for you to label me a "psychopath" and "lunatic".

No, I am neither. I'm a good father and a loving husband. I pay my taxes, work hard at a good job, and generally treat other people in a decent manner. I like mucking with PCs as most of us here do, and enjoy gaming and watching TV. I play hockey. I drive a '96 Chevy Lumina because its really all I can afford, supporting a family on a single income.

And yes, I go to church on Sundays.

I deny your allegations on my character, and I reject your insulting labels.
