IMHO, this is a two-way street. There would be less animosity toward religion if those practicing it would keep it a personal thing instead of ramming it up everyone else's noses and/or condemning those not practicing. On the other hand, religious persons might keep it to themselves if they didn't feel threatened by those who disagree with them and if those persons just let the religious folks do their thing in peace. Kind of a big feedback loop if you think about it.Originally posted by: CubanlB

anyway, immaturity on the subject isnt really limited to these forums, its pretty prevalent throughout a lot of our culture, and thats a very sad thing to me.
I'm definitely going to go see it. I'm not a particularly religious person, but the subject of religion in general is a very interesting one. I'm curious to see how Gibson decided to put everything together.Who else is gonna go see The Passion of Christ, i wanna see it, looks good. (i hope its great!)

There has been a rash of church fires on the news lately. Several churches have been burned to the ground, with no preference for denomination. They haven't caught whoever is responsible yet.Originally posted by: minendo

Q: Is Ash Wednesday based on a pagan festival?
A: Heck, no. Ash Wednesday originated in the A.D. 900s, long after Europe had been Christianized and the pagan cults stamped out.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are One and the same. Your "argument" (troll) is invalid.

What is burned to provide the ashes?
BTW, I was raised Catholic but chose not to practice since I was 15.
You guys celebrate your faith, I mock you not.

Apparently, beyond my reason , God and Jesus is one in the same.

That doesn't make any sense. Anyone who believes that is foolish for one, and secondly, like you said, they are breaking the first commandment.
