So lets say Al-Quida fires a rocket into Israel from Egyptian soil, its then OK from Israel to kill all Palestinians for an act they had nothing to do with. And what about all those crazed Settler parties that will invade a Palestinian state to extract revenge?

Palestinian soil is not Egyptian soil.

Second, nothing goes in/out of Gaza without the knowledge/approval of Hamas.

Something coming from the west Bank would be a different story.

Rockets can now be fired from Egypt, have nothing to do with Hamas, and land on Israel.

But still EK, when Israel is surrounded by nations who dislike Israel for its current behavior, the phrase people who live in glass houses should not throw stones also applies to Israel.

As September 20 is now only 10 days away. And the time to spin our wheels and talk about a rotten past impossible to change gets us nowhere, I am focused on the future in events at the UN. A Palestinian State may or may not happen by the end of September, but the hand writing is on the wall for an Israeli return to 1967 borders in the few years short term future.

It ain't gonna happen. Nobody in their right mind even thinks it's going to happen. The borders would have to be renegotiated. Look at a map and you'll clearly see why.

The Brits ownwed and occupied India for a damn long time, South African Apartheid had its long day in the sun, and even when their days were ending, there were always those who said it ain't gonna happen.
 
Over the past three months, I have been exposed daily to people from Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Syria; the Palestinians have no real support from the local population groups.

Many dislike Israel; but have no desire to put themselves on the line for the Palestinians.
Both those from Jordan and Lebanon vividly recall and blame the Palestinians for damages to their countries.
 
There are two standards for a plan.

One is based on power and violence; might makes right sets the policy.

The other is based on an attempt to be fair to people, regardless of their military.

These two approaches do not arrive at the same plan. How do we determine which plan to use, and how is a plan based on power going to result in peace?

The problem here is the same as we have in the US.
What is the definition of fair.

What one feels is fair can be considered to be robbery by another.

Unbiased arbitration might work. However, will both sides accept that there is an unbiased arbitrator? Each may want to feel that the arbitrator is on their side.

I find it interesting that people from other countries often seem to have a refreshingly informed view on some issues.

On this military issue, I'm no expert, but I suspect that the US has a massive lead others would have a hard time coming close to catching up to.

Further, a lot of the developing technologies are for one nation, really. While the US and other countries could all build and aim nuclear missiles, it tends to be one nation that can dominate the skies with drones, one nation that can weaponize space. While the US might have drones flying the skies of other nations, I wouldn't look for other nations to have drones flying over the US anytime soon.

I somewhat agree that the USA has the best military in the world, but its done us no good in terms of winning the peace in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Its plain, at least to me, US military might plus US stupidity is a bad and money wasting counterproductive clusterfuck.

Israel can't control their crazed Settler party idiots either, we do not know if Hamas will be in charge of Gaza after the up coming Palestinian elections, and with an Israeli embargo of Gaza keeping unemployment in Gaza at over 40%, why should not a Palestinian State become an template and outlet for the people of Gaza to build a Palestinian State rather than rockets?

Then we can look at how far Israel has fallen in the past decade, ten years ago a pair of Osraeli tanks could have driven unmolested from Israel to the Syrian border, and by 2005, Hezbollah became the defender of Lebanon. Alledegly Dick Cheney told Israel to invade Lebanon again in 2005, and Israel took two weeks to Penetrate 20 miles. As Israeli lost State of the art tanks to a rag tag militia. And when Israel engaged in a massive collective punishment orgy against the Lebanese people, it was Hezbollah that gained popularity instead of the blame like Cheney predicted.

As for Hamas in Gaza, they only had bottle rockets, and when Israeli attacked in op cast lead, Israel was charged with war crimes. Now that Mubarak is gone, Gaza is already starting to obtain some defensive weapons, as the joint Israeli and Egyptian embargo loses Egytian support.

The larger world may not allow another Israeli orgy of senseless collective punishment again,
 
Israel should immediately put its nuclear and conventional forces on full alert. it should always have its long/mid range Jericho missles aimed at every Samson option target.
 
For what its worth, I just spent the past hour reading Haaretz. Point granted maybe a left wing Israeli paper, but I have never seen Haaretz rip into Bozo Netanyuhu as hard. Article after article one after another, and here is just a small sample.

The question is what Bozo Netanyuhu will do, when he blows all his credibility.

A question I suspect the USA will also ask of our T-party and also AIPAC.

So far Netanyuhu has had some success at beating his chest and getting his way, but the cocommitent danger in such a position is in finding the entire world is laughfing at his charade.

Your credibility is totally shot...none of your predictions have ever came true......you would think think you would just sit back and keep quiet...a hunter is going to come along and shoot you!

Did anyone notice that another of my predictions happened, As Turkey now says it will escort the next Gaza aid Flotilla with warships.

As all the Israeli fan clubbers fail to notice Israel is in one hell of a worse shape than it was even 16 months ago.
