But if we in the USA have to choose either six million Israeli Jews that alaienate the entire world Vs choosing 278 million Arab and the rest of the world, and choose one and totally lose the other, it gets much harder to choose Israel and alienate the rest of the world.

What the fuck is wrong with you? Population numbers is how you choose to define morality? You seriously need some time away from the subject matter. Never going to happen, though. So, whatever.

Morality ? There is no morality in defending Israel. It is getting more and more on the side of "Judeo-Christian" brotherhood.

We shall see what we see. As various posters think it will be business as usual for Israel As this week's deliberations are only starting at the UN.

Obama may have promised Israel he will veto a Palestinian State in the UN security council but nothing else beyond that. But there are two questions, Will the USA be able to pay the consequences and will Israel have to accept a settlement freeze in any subsequent UN compromise?

As for me, I will wait and see.

The other trend line to note is many smaller countries are demanding UN changes in the security council, and questioning why any nation should have veto powers in the UN security council.

What consequences? You still have not come up with anything of substance that is worth worrying about.

What UN settlement freeze - The Palestinians could not come to the table when a freeze was in effect voluntarily; what power will the UN have to force eether to show and do it's bidding?

Those small nations still exist because those in the security council put forward the effort to make the world safe for those type of attitudes.

Similar to many bitching about cost of freedoms, ignoring the sacrifice to have it for them so they can bitch about it.

The security council is made up of the old wise sages that are not easily influenced by made rush to a popular position that can be unfounded
