As far as games go, is The Sims 2 pretty advanced as far as AI & complexity goes?

After being sucked into the game for the past 2 hours or so, I keep being amazed at the level of detail and the AI of the in game characters and how one little mistake/incident can control another.

With games like Doom 3, it's pretty much run and gun, but this is just so immersing that I just lose myself in it and the time just flies

Very fun game. I love how you call taxi's and stuff to go grocery shopping too.

The AI is way better than the first Sims, if maybe a little more horny. I have a female that only wants 3-way woohoo and to do it in public!

We were discussing this in our AI class.
It does have a lot of the concepts that have only recently been published in the field of AI. Pretty good stuff.

I meant between the game and real life, but that's also a valid point. I've limited myself to only playing on weekends.

My only gripe is that when there's a lot of stuff on screen, my system chokes. (A64 3000+, Radeon 9800 Pro, 1GB RAM) But it isn't that bad, just annoying at times.

Same with my female sim (single couple). She's happily married and we have woohoo maybe two-three times a week and she still wants a 3-way? Slutty whore!!:|

Sorry to bring this post up again, but I've been playing the game (It's awesome) and I wanted to see what else the Sims do you know? check out these posts from Sims 2 Center forums (Link).

Angry Sims Storm IN!!!: What is UP with these sims?? Sometimes they just come into my house and start poking and shoving... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY??? WHAT THE HELL!?!?

Yeah, if you use the telescope in the daytime, whoever's face appears in the thought bubble of your sim will come over, all angry and stuff, and start poking your sims. Beware!

The Headmaster went Bonkers: I had the headmaster over to get the kid into private school and the tour, schmoozing, and dinner (lobster) went very well and I was 3 points from getting in. During more conversation, the mother went into labor and had a baby. The schmoozing score dropped to zero and then the headmaster attacked the mother. He then went into the kitchen and put a TV dinner in the oven. He came back out and grabbed the baby and placed her in front of the oven and went outside and attacked the mother again and then he left. Luckily the mother grabbed the baby in time and took the TV dinner out. The child was busy swinging at the time.

My teen keeps getting rejected for kisses: My teen, Kevin (Don Lothario's son), keeps getting rejected for a first kiss by townies. He is a romance aspiration and he has practiced romance alot and worked out alot. He can get romantic hugs but when he goes in for a kiss he is rejected. His aspiration score is at rock bottom.

aaargh..... i am going to freak >_<: well i was going for the 10 children aspiration in my game and to do that i had to wait for one child to become an adult and move them out and take some of the other children with them.

These posts are so funny, but its so amazing how real this game is.

i tried it at a friends. i killed the sim in 10 minutes. i stopped caring after the first few minutes, then walled em in and cranked the time.

What's even worse, the first time he came by my house, the garderner hadn't come by to pull the weeds yet. So the headmaster drives by and says "I don't think this is a family that our school wants to be associated with" and DROVE OFF!!:|:|

Good god was I pissed!! I had got showered, got the wife and kid showered, got us dressed in formal wear, cleaned out all of the bathrooms and showers, made a cake, had dinner ready and had music going.

I don't think I've ever been that mad at a game before

Yeah, this game is so addicting. I accidently killed one of my sims though. She had lunch, entertained some people for a party, made woohoo with her husband, then passed out. I saw she was hungry and woke her up to eat, but the grim reaper came and took her right as she was sitting down with her plate of spaghetti!! Literally. I was not happy.

Eh, doesn't seem that great to me. After awhile all you're doing is keeping the meters full and making sure they dont drop down to 0, and that gets repetitive/boring. I would rather spend the time on something else.
