Eh, doesn't seem that great to me. After awhile all you're doing is keeping the meters full and making sure they dont drop down to 0, and that gets repetitive/boring. I would rather spend the time on something else.

If you think that's all there is to the game, then no wonder you don't find it intriguing

I agree with you NFS4, the meters are what you have to take care of while you are doing what you want, obstacles if you will. Just like (I don't want to sound like a loser by saying this but) life.

And yes, it did suck when she died right when she started eating. I think I was more distraught than her husband ;)

I first started the game with a knowledge sim (husband) and a romantic sim (Wife)...BIG MISTAKE. Those romantic sims are DAMN hard to please. She wanted sex ALL the time and it was wearing out the husband. Then she wanted to fvck around with everyone she met. I finally gave in and let her start messin' around with her best friend (female). The started off as good friends, then became best friends, and then they started holding hands, the dancing together...then they started kissing and smooching, and making out. I finally said "what da hell" and let them make woohoo in the bedroom. All of this of course took place while the husband was away at work and the son was off to school, so they never saw this happen.

Well, one day I invited the wife's best friend over and then invited the husband's friend over. The husband and his best friend were chatting behind the couch while having a couple of drinks. So I made the female sim sit down on the couch. Her best friend/lover sat down beside her. Next thing I know, the best friend throws my female sim on the couch and starts smooching her like crazy. The husband TOTALLY freaks out and goes ballistic. You can see the wedding rings about his head with a big red SLASH through them. He starts crying and running around the house. I try to console him but he keeps pushing her away. I try to make them kiss, the then the female best friend gets pissed and starts slapping the sh!t out of my female sim and runs out. PARTY OVER!!!!

The husband runs to the bedroom and I try to get his wife to talk to him and kiss him or hug him and he refuses.

That was my LAST time trying to satisfy a Romantic sim. I now have a Knowledge sim and a family sim and all is well :p

Haha, that's so funny. My sim that died was a romantic sim. It was crazy, her goals would always be to have 3 public woohoo's or make out with 3 other sims, it was too much to handle. I mean atleast my money aspiration sim would have goals involving his wife every now and then, like "give backrub" or "talk" but the romantic sims are out of control. My new ones have the family ambition and they get lonely so fast.... they actually kind of remind me of some of my female friends that want boyfriends,
:p

Okay, I figure this is as good a place as any to ask this - my copy of Sims 2, no matter what, will not let me use the build tools. I switch into build mode and it simply doesn't allow me to select or use any of them. I've tried it on several of my systems, and no luck, but everyone else's seems to work out of the box. It's frustrating.

Headmaster is easy. I basically put on those green glasses that make me super social and smooch him up. Then I just ignore him for a while.

What about dinner and stuff? I can never get him to sit down and eat.

Bah, maybe I'll try it when my "daughter" gets older and moves out. She's almost a teenager now so it wouldn't matter anyway

Either you pirated the game or your using a no-cd crack. There isn't a working no-cd crack in existence.

Maybe you guys should attempt the legacy challenge where you try to produce the best family possible within 10 generations.

Oooh, thats a good idea. 10 generations is a lot though, lol. If it were a competition involving 10 generation, I'd probably miss several days of work though. Maybe 5 generations to produce the happiest or richest family. The money would be the easiest to measure.

EyeMWing - like they said its either pirated OR you're doing something wrong. Build mode isn't available in the community...

That would explain it. My retail game (as is typical of EA titles these days) refuses to run without a noCD crack on my system. When the hell am I going to learn to stop paying those bastards?

Edit: And no, I can't fix it so it runs. EA tech support tells me to remove an optical drive. They can DIAF.

Yeah, between learning how to cook, working out on the exercise machine, fixing breakfast/lunch/dinner, paying bills, cleaning up around the house, taking a shower, taking a sh!t, ordering groceries, getting the repairman to fix the toilet...it sure is hard to find some time for Woohoo :(

yeah amazing!

whats odd is people are playing a game that mimics real life pretty well (well i don't get so much woohoo with so many different women in real life)\]

oh trying to do public wohoo. anyone do it?

Yeah, you get them into a changing booth at one of the shopping malls and then they woohoo there. LoL it's silly, the whole booth starts rockin back and forth.

In terms of pleasing the headmaster, I thought it was pretty easy. I had twins, and I made one cook pork chops for dinner and the other gave a tour of the house. Only schmoozed like twice, and that got me maybe 6 points total lol. Everyone was in their underwear, and the dad was out back zapping himself silly with the lie detector. It was funny, but the headmaster was thrilled with my kids.

So, on another note, this guy, Consort Capp, keeps coming into my house uninvited and slapping the family. From reading this thread, I finally figured out it was the telescope that did it. But before I knew that, I got so mad I walled him in one time when he popped over, and left him to die. Haha boy did he stink up the house. But I enjoyed watching him SUFFER.... muahahahahaha :D

There is crack out there that may help you but it requires you to have the game disk in your rom which sorta defeats the point of using a no-cd crack.

Actually, my boyfriend downloaded a version that seems to be a developer's version (that's what he said after looking at the organization of the directories). Didn't require a CD or a crack. Works like a charm, though I suspect some of the Sims are speaking French. Not like it matters cause they utter jibberish most of the time anyways :p

How do you do that?

It's not a offcial game mode just a informal contest started by players to see who could produce the best family possible in 10 generations. Check the official boards for more info.

Actually it is true. Is there a no-cd crack that lets you play the game without having to insert the disc into your rom? Yes. A crack where you can fully use the build mode? No.

Info: I wanted the wife to play on her PC while I'm playing on my own PC so I went to

"cough"gamecopyworld.com"cough"

After visiting "cough"gamecopyworld.com "cough" Sims2 worked on both machines, including the tools. Of course I have an original, paid for copy.
