A very very close relative is one of the full time firefighting employees for the refuge, and he cannot even go home right now, and had to be evacuated to bend. One of the terrorists out there has threatened to kidnap a refuge employee if they can.

He asked if he could borrow one of my precision rifles with one of my suppressors to see about picking off a few of these idiots, but I did not have him on my legal trust for the suppressors. I need to get him added as a trustee.

The similarities in both appearance and intellect are amazing.

Yes, I had thought of "AL" myself -- no imagination required given the identical name.

It occurred to me that the guys in the wildlife refuge should simply adjourn to the local nudie-bar, where they can hold forth all they want in their philosophy that the "Wild West is still limitless and free to free-grazers and squatters."

If they order the BLT sandwich to complement the beer, they'd have a better idea in comparison about reasonable use-charges for grazing on federal land.

"Homeland Security Looked Past Antigovernment Movement, Ex-Analyst Says"

We should stop treating them with kid gloves. I don't necessarily advocate a violent response to them at the moment, but why is the Federal Government not moving in on them? There should have been charges brought against the clowns who pointed weapons at federal officials at the Bundy clown show and they should be making moves against the current batch of clowns here.

I think the issue is that the Feds moving strongly against them would simply serve to justify their claims of federal intrusion. They and their supporters are ignorant and naive psycopaths, so it is useless to educate them on the many failings of their philosophy.

The Feds have to weigh some very serious issues of escalating and thus gaining strong support for these rednecks with their fellow clansmen and nazis crawling out of the woodwork to declare open war on the military. They would get pasted if it came to that--something they probably want?--but the Feds and general public do not want that.

I think where the Feds have really dropped the ball is failing to drag Cliven out of his ranch by his balls, tossing him in prison, and liquidating his cattle via auction on public market to pay back some small percentage of his stolen fees.

He also needs to be charged back for the business loans that the Feds long ago gave him, with interest.

Like I've said before, I am not a lawyer of course but the Feds might be just letting it go on and could probably Rico Act the whole bunch in the future and just take everything.

I'm sure they have collected a ton of info for a case by now.

Might just be continuing to feed them more rope.

Psychopaths -- a misdiagnosis. Ignorant and paranoid -- I think that's more accurate.

Like you, this state of affairs continues to rankle me. It's sort of a reaction to Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Those Bundy supporters can protest all they want, but they have no legitimate complaint, considering their own history and the history of federal land held in trust.

I think it's time, that they should either serve time, or pay the piper.

Just... No. That's murder conspiracy. Don't go there.

Hell, the occupiers would claim it was de Gubmint, obviously, & would be believed by their sympathizers. If there has to be shooting, they have to start it.

I'd hope he wouldn't even consider doing it, especially after posting here.

In the latest list of good they say that they need, gaming supplies were on the list.

Now is that hardware, software, Doritos, Cheetos, Twinkies or what exactly?

Someone was nice enough to drop this as a gift to the internets:

I have this weird feeling that the second group of militia is actual .gov in disguise.

Maybe the feds should flood the valley again like the Hammonds claim they did. Bundy could get the Noah role he's always wanted.

too soon, too soon.

lol!

I guess ISIS is calling for it's supporters to create American-looking sockpuppets to offer vocal support online for the Bundy Boys and groups like them.

First PETA, now ISIS. These guy sure know how to drum up support for their cause!

Do you also play a jackass in real life?
Who is playing?

This seems like a nonissue. Cut the power, stop feeding them, and after a few days they don't surrender threaten them with gas, and then deadly force if they resist. Problem solved.

I think the Feds are playing it smart here and Bundy is very stupid.
Oregon doesn't want this out-of-state "militia" here, and plenty of time has been given to make Bundy aware of that fact. The sheriff and the residents of Harney county have asked them to leave, and yet they've brought in more people.
And now, law enforcement will wait while Bundy has dozens of armed men sitting around in the cold doing nothing. And sooner or later, one of them is going to do something stupid enough to justify any action that law enforcement chooses to take. The end.

I would argue they are already justified to use force. But they haven't even cut the power yet.
