Didn't someone say they saw 15GB in use of their 16GB total in this game? That's absurd. I don't see how the game can even run on an Xbox one or ps4 if that was true.

It's possible the game or windows is just caching assets. The PC version may also have a memory leak not present in the consoles.

Well this has been one of the worst game launches for me personally in years... I cannot even play the game after the intro bit.. I hit space to start the glide and the game crashes.. This is with not everything turned on either. Cant be ram issue as I have 16GB and at the time of the crash it was using about 5.5GB

Also in the same file that you edit to remove the frame rate limit, you can turn off Motion Blur and Depth of Field in there as well..

Now in the process of of re-downloading it as i did the steam integrity check....

Oh well back to witcher 3 for me for the moment

I don't think rocksteady had much to do with this. WB games outsourced the PC port of mortal kombat x and nether realms didn't even touch any part of the PC code......

But apparently its the same studio that did the port of Arkham Origins it think it was mentioned and Shadow of Mordor and those turned out fine.. Although they did bug up MK:x as mentioned.

I'm got this on ps4. Saw the comparison videos and there was nearly no difference in how the game looked between running on ps4 and high on PC. Plus it shouldn't crash on ps4 either. Iron Galaxy studios did the PC port and apparently they did a few ports last gen and some iOS games. Remember the problems with Arkham origins when it launched? Apparently they had a hand in that one too.

Overall it is supposed to be a pretty good game with an absolutely horrible PC port. It's all down to the terrible job iron Galaxy did.

I've heard turning off motion blur and DOF can crash the game.

The game appears to crash when performance suffers significantly. I have a feeling the devs only tested this game on a massively powerful computer.

The console versions were obviously done by the original team and were good. I think WB games went ahead and took the porting project to someone and rocksteady didn't have a hand in that.

Im sure rocksteady has some hand in it as they are taking blame for using that company for the porting process

We must have played different versions of Origins because mine runs like crap on my system. AC runs good so far I think though.

But yeah I figured Id give it one more try to see if it would let me play. Got less than 15 minutes past the last crash point and it crashed again. Every time its been a batmobile issue, I think something with the batmobile causes these issues for most people.

I think I am going to be doing a steam refund and getting it on PS4 unfortunately. I hope I can get used to the controller for this game.

I think they have to because they built the original game and their reputation is attached to it.

Got it for free so I tried it out. Runs at 30 FPS all the time as far as I can tell. Uses 5300 video ram and 7850 memory. Runs pretty smooth. I really suck driving. This is with everything enabled and options at the highest level. I really think the 4970K's factory overclock makes a difference. Saw a post with a 5930K having trouble keeping 60 smooth with options turned down at 1080. Poster didn't mention any overclock. Then I saw MonKeny's post and he is having trouble with a similar system to mine. Vram? Maybe I'm just lucky but I never have major problems with any game. Some little glitches with Witcher3 but that's about it.

The frame rate is locked @ 30fps you have to edit the ini file to see how the game really will run.

Would rather have 30 and smooth with options maxed than 60 and stuff backed off.

Running at 60 or 30 makes no difference. The game stutters the same no matter what. At least w/60 unlocked when it doesnt stutter it looks better.

Ahh.. well will try it without disabling those and see... not really big rush at the moment, as its mid week and i still have witcher 3 to play

So they screwed this PC port up even more than the port of Arkham City was screwed up on launch? I wasn't sure that was possible.
