Damn, no your just a fucking idiot, thats all. I'm sorry for that, but certainly I'm not going to waste my time with you pointing out the ridiculous arguemnt of beer and car = ok and beer and pistol = OMG FEAR.

Its always amusing when someone to says "your an idiot", go to school and try again, sport.

Also, try a bit harder to read before making yourself look like a fool. I never said I opposed this - in fact, I said above that it isn't a big deal and won't really change anything. I also never said drinking and driving was ok.

Quite simply, you are a troll in this thread. Your post contained nothing of value, it had a completely irrelevant point that you can never really even articulate. You have done nothing but make assumptions about what other people are saying, and then attacked them based on those (incorrect in every case so far) assumptions. You, sir, should give up while you still have a leg to stand on.

You know you piss off legitimate gun owners with your specious non sequiturs, don't you?

But of course its ok to walk into a bar when you have a valid drivers license, car keys in your pocket and a car in the parking lot and expect a drink right?

Please remove your head from the NRAs butt long enough to comprehend the impact on commerce:

"I hate to have to put them up," Mark DeSimone, owner of the Hidden House Cocktail Lounge in central Phoenix, said of the signs. "It looks scary. It looks to somebody like, should I go in this place because they obviously have a problem with people bringing weapons in."

You really have serious self-esteem issues and paranoid delusions, don't you? Do you masturbate with your gun? Are you a paid troll for the NRA? What is the deal with you?

Thanks for reminding me why I hope I never need to go to Arizona, again.

But I will miss the Grand Canyon. :(

Well it seems that all an owner has to do is hang a sign if they don't like it. I agree, it is a good day for freedom when you can carry into a bar so long as the owner allows it and doesn't serve you booze.

But of course its ok to walk into a bar when you have a valid drivers license, car keys in your pocket and a car in the parking lot and expect a drink right?

I'm sure you are trying to make a point here, it simply went 404.

Its simple.
You believe its not ok for someone to walk into a bar with a firearm and be served a drink, however it IS ok to walk into a bar with a valid drivers license and a car and be served a drink.

In other words you are basing your decisions on emotional feel good bullshit and not logical fact. I wouldnt trust someone piss drunk with a firearm anymore then I would trust them with a set of car keys and yet you will immediately shout your objections to the one carrying the pistol......

Well I'm glad to hear that you think a firearm and a car are equally dangerous in the situation as a whole and that there are as many ways to mitigate danger with firearms as there are with cars. (with a car you can take a cab, I guess you could give your friend your gun? hahaha)

The legislature considered all these ideas and decided it's okay for you to have a few drinks and then drive, but that a gun was too dangerous. if you don't like it, change the law.

Maybe he will see it better if there is a limit for guys like him. If you're not allowed to drive with BAC of 0.08% or more, maybe a similar limit will work for firearms - say 0.08% bullets or whatever limit they figure out is not lethal to others. Then he can claim guns = cars.

As much as I support gun ownership, being allowed into bars is pushing it. Drunk people with loaded weapons doesn?t strike me as very intelligent. Granted, maybe now no intelligent person will be found near a bar. That is if they don?t want to get shot by a drunk.

Yup. And open carry still isn't allowed...and the concealed carrier cannot drink

Good for Arizona. The liberals here will spout their wild west analogies, how shootings will increase, etc.. but the FACTS will slap them in the face once again where shootings will go down, crime will go down, and you will see very few problems with people carrying guns into bars.

I'd imagine bars are prime places for people to get mugged and raped.. this will help people be able to defend themselves from people intent on doing them harm.

Hopefully Florida will follow suit so Harvey will stay out of my state as well.

Someone can drink and still be under the legally allowed BAC limit.

Bars are not prime places for people to be mugged or raped, they are prime places for fights. People are frequently mugged or raped when leaving a bar, but most of the time a girl is raped after a visit to the bar it is sadly by the guy she is there with. It's possible that muggings may go down as a result of this, but I can't imagine it will affect rape much.

Interesting you are talking about FACTS in reference to a hypothetical situation that hasn't occurred yet. This might say a lot about what you think 'facts' are.

This makes Arizona look just great right after guns were being carried to Obama appearances. It's like they're trying to out-Texas Texas. ;)

Still waiting to hear a good support for this bit of news. So far it's just a mix of huzzah over state rights, and the obligatory partisan stupidity from FNE. I'm starting to get the feeling that Arizona will be to gun rights what Sarah Palin was to the GOP.

Don't worry about it. If you're there, that's enough to keep me away, even without the other armed drunks.

Of course thats what I meant.. when LEAVING the bar. But if the gun is in your car, it won't do you much good.

The Phoenix metro area is the 12th largest in the country. I'm sure its just all rednecks and country boys.. So typical from the elitist left. If you aren't on the left or right coast, you are a redneck.

Well, the Constitution originally saw the states as independant labratories for various 'social experiments'. I suppose that's what this amounts to.

Unless AZ is having some serious problems with criminals attacking bar patrons, I see no reason to allow CC is a bar.

I'm gonna view this as a potentially interesting experiment and wait to see what happens.

Maybe they oughta call this the "Plaxico Burress Law" - if you come to AZ and shoot yourself in the leg at one of our bars you don't have to worry about going to prison.
