That's the angle I've been seeing in all the press. Sure it's a false claim but they keep on making it.

What outrage! Arizona made it a crime to be an illegal immigrant! Rabble!

How is this any different than checking for warrants when you are pulled over?

What is the "probably cause" to make the officer suspect that I do have a warrant when I am pulled over?

Then again, why should I be surprised that the "progressive" plays the race card.

Because obvious racism is obvious? It's not like the law was prompted by all the illegal Norwegians or Belgians hanging out on street corners and making the locals feel uncomfortable and stuff.

And the "progressive" show his true colors once more.

This law has NOTHING TO DO with race. NOTHING.

Show me a single line of text in the legislation that singles out latinos.

Are you aware how many illegal Asians are in AZ?

Your argument is ridiculous, of course there is none. But what group of people prompted the legislators to write the law? Was it the retirees from Manitoba who neglected to get legal residency when they moved?

I'm embarrassed to live in AZ right now. This state has gone to hell ever since Napalatano left. The state is being run by laughably stupid people.

Lets see. It wasnt Mexicans, because we have lots of those.
It wasnt asny other race actually, because we lots of those.
It wasnt illegal Mexicans, because although they make up the largest percentage of ILLEGALS in the state, we have a substantial amount of other ILLEGALS from other countries.

Hmmmm.

Maybe it's....ILLEGALS?

African Americans commit more murders than any other race, should those laws be thrown out as well because it disproportionately impacts the African American community?

If you are going to argue that this law should be thrown out because it disproportionally impacts a certain race, why not every other law that disproportionally impacts other races?

Hint: This law has NOTHING to do with race

This bill is great and should be followed by other states, particularly the others bordering Mexico.

Oh the other free states will do the same thing. Where do you think the illegals are going to flock to? It isn't Arizona.

Well, seeing how San Francisco has annouced a boycott of AZ (LMFAO) I suggest instead of turning em over to ICE, give them a one way bus ticket to SF. Im sure Pelosi would welcome them with open arms.

I still believe the opposition to this law is 99% rooted in the idea that those who oppose this law will win the majority of the Latino vote in 2010.

Screw trying to run a lawful & just country, it's all about dividing and conquering votes.

That and not passing un-Constitutional laws.

most definately. if people would actually read the law they would see the reality. being that the law is less than 20pages, the left is trying hard to fill up the airwaves will bullshit so people don't read the whole 20page law.

let us just hope that people will take the 1/2hr to read and comprehend the law all over.

That and not passing un-Constitutional laws.

Who determines what is reasonable versus what is unreasonable?

There is a huge problem in Arizona, that needs to be tackled on many fronts, but no one at the federal level where it needs to be addressed, no one gives a shit. They're too busy fund-raising, pandering for votes, strategerizing earmarks, etc.
