Often, My GF seems to like it as well although we hadn't had much time lately for gaming. We've played DoTT, Sam and Max, NFSU2, and a little BF2, which were quite funny as she got really scared/surprised when enemy tanks or soldiers come up close. (She has never played FPS's befor so the mosue control is a bit tricky for her)

Next game is probably Leisure Suit Larry.

I'm 26.

i'm 26 and game regularly. i have 2 friends, one is 32 or 33 and still plays pc games. other friend is over 30 and plays ps2 games.

although i keep thinking to myself that i don't feel like an adult because i do enjoy playing games and other stuff like that.

i've never really had a lot of friends and the friends i did have i only got to see at school or on weekends every so often. there were no kids my age in my rural neighborhood, they were all a lot older or a lot younger than me. i spent a lot of my time by myself in the yard or in the woods having my own adventures. i feel i have a strong imagination and that it is one of the things i truely value.

plus liking video games and other things like sci-fi and fantasy doesn't work too well in rural towns because everyone else is into things like sports and hunting.

I'm sure I'll play more games in the next couple of years after I finish up school and these major house renovations.

Are there any newer flight sims that are good for pick-up-and-go? I dont want to have to spend all day just to take off, but a game that would be fun to fly around...

23. I don't play 'computer' games very often, but I still play a console multiple times per week. I have no plans to stop. Ever.

I should probably add that while she has been criticizing me about that lately, she isn't making an ultimatum or anything. She's played some SNES in her time and enjoys watching other people play certain games (not aliens vs predator 2 tho :p), so I certainly won't dump her over this but I was looking for the confirmation I got in this thread. Thanks :D

EDIT Also I do have other hobbies. We go walking/jogging @ the lake regularly, I'm in the gym 4-5 times per week, I'm into cars, we lounge down at the pool, etc etc.

My hubby(just turned 24) loves Legos, plays computer games and goes through game consoles pretty often and it is fine by me.
I think it is cute that he enjoys those things and don't mind that he does them, especially since he gets bored with them pretty quickly and goes on to something new.

Nothing wrong with gaming as long as it is not all consuming.

You should have a option of 'Don't game anymore'. I used to game like a fiend though. Some of the people on this very forum could probably vouche for that.

I will play occassionaly, but they really aren't that fun anymore.

i would like to find one like that also. i don't want to have actualy know how to fly a real plane to fly a flight sim plane.

there are a few games like Heroes of the Pacific and Blazing Angels that are WWII combat flight sims but they are really arcade-like and not flight-sim-like. plus they didn't get good reviews.

Your girlfriend's to-do list about you:

1. Get rid of his gaming (retarded)
2. Get rid of his friends (jerks)
3. Get rid of his PC (waste of time)
4. Spend all of his money
5. Dump him for someone with more money.

Nothing wrong with enjoying video games. However, by a certain age, you should be done with 4+ hour game sessions.

My bfs 22 and plays games all the time. Between that and his cat, sometimes I have to fight for attention, but as long as I get a fair amount and were both happy that's all that counts. :)

Nah at most like 1 hour, but usually just smaller sessions split up throughout the week

I think my 'wife' must have had that same list.

Had a similar conversation with my gf.

I think it is a generational thing, since the people that grew up playing Nintendo and Quake are now entering adulthood. As more kids that played games grow up, I fully expect games to take over "grownup" entertainment. In fact, I think the video game vs. movie industry race even now is pretty tight.
