Are you going to watch Rio Olympic?

US swim team completes what is probably their most dominant performance with golds in the final 2 relay races. In the mens first leg they used a WR performance to limit damage the GB gold medal winner could do to them.

Phelps (probably) ends his olympic career with another gold medal in the 4x100m medley relay.

Damn I'm going to miss watching him swim in 2020.

Defending Olympic gold medalist decathlete Ashton Eaton has been called a traitor by his US compatriots because he wore a Canada hat while watching his Canadian wife's performance in the heptathlon which earned her bronze.

Geez people, can't a guy show a little support for his wife when he's a spectator sitting in the stands?

I've watched bits & pieces. Men's basketball, track & field, and men's swimming have been fun to watch. Phelps is the Michael Jordan of swimming, which is cool. Looks like the men's volleyball team stayed home. I've seen college teams that were better.

With Rio being a cesspool, the green water in the pool, and the men's swim team being robbed at gunpoint, these Olympics just keep getting better.

Had to edit because some folks here need their hand held.

Not sure why you seem so negative at Rio's attempt at hosting the Olympics. The last time it was held on American soil it was bombed. Rio is doing great by comparison. 🙂

Mens 400m with a crushing new WR. Winner started in the outside lane and never had anyone near him. Blazing fast.

Bolt three-peats in the 100m with a "slow" 9.8. At the mid point gatlin had the lead with a couple others also ahead of him, but at the 60m point he just pours on some extra speed and crossed first with a noticeable margin.

Started pounding his chest with a couple meters to go, i'd like to see him run flat out for a full race one more time

***Spoiler***

Gatlin had an amazing start & ran a great race. Just wasn't enough, unfortunately. He pulled out like a freight train & had Bolt in his rear view. Bolt just has too much top end. I'm not a fan, but dude is blazing fast. Really wanted Gatlin to take the Gold.

I like watching the Triathlon, its usually pretty exciting throughout the entire race and its almost never a blow out, each discipline balances out the field and is a true iron man test.

Also the 100M final, who doesn't like to watch that.

Love the tri's, will be watching for sure. I wish Canada had a shot at a medal this year but our team isn't going to do much unfortunately. The Men's will likely be a Brownlee clinic like London was though.

I wish they had different distances though in the Olympics. Could easily have three or four different distances, would be really neat to see.

I also don't like that they allow drafting on the bike. I understand why they have to but it really does change the race a lot from a non-draft legal race.

I think what you mean to say is, Vancouver and Toronto are world class cities.

😉
Don't know much about either city or most of Canada aside from hockey and little bits if facts here and there.

There are small, not-so-well-off towns out in the middle of nowhere in the U.S too.

I've been hearing that no one accelerates the last 40m of the 100m sprint. Bolt is unique because he doesn't slow down like every other sprinter.
At the end, everyone else is straining to maintain as much speed as possible, Bolt hits his stride and is completely relaxed maintaining it.

Juicers gonna juice. Bolt paused after the gun sounded to file his nails and still passed Gatlin lol.
