I was a beta up until a year into college. I got dumped by my girlfriend at the time and it was a huge reality check for me. After spending about a year transcending, I became an alpha. Sometimes I'm more of an asshole alpha than a tactfully assertive alpha, and I'm working on that. Understanding my transcendence has helped me to become more tactfully assertive.

Also, I feel there is nothing wrong with being a beta.

What say you?

Aren't you a manlet? Manlets can't be alpha, because I'm could kick the ass of every manlet in the world. Therefore all manlets are beta.
 
I'm a beta, aspiring to be alpha. Most of the time I'm docile but sometimes my asshole alpha side comes out and I dominate (or try to dominate and fail) everybody around me.
