Harvesting organs is bad form. Outlawing thoughts also is.

Unless it's in Minecraft...

I much prefer.. do what must be done Lord Vader. Do not hesitate, show no mercy. Only then will you be strong enough!

Fascism is the way people who hate themselves will vote in an effort to get even. The disease ran deeper than I thought. Unfortunately self hate is self destructive since it all amount to unconsciously destroying yourself. Unfortunately, the worst self haters pull everyone else down with them. It looks pretty bad because nobody wants to know our complicity in how it happens. Self hate is the externalization of self blame so everything is somebody else's fault. Millions of sleeping monsters pointing the finger at each other isn't conducive to safety on the streets. Cowards find courage by mobbing up.

The only hope I see and it isn't much is if Trump starts to cost business money.

Seems like we're getting closer to some kind of explosion from the White House because of how Trump has been moonwalking quite a few of his Day One promises back. Haven't seen him doing that infamous lame ass happy dance of his lately either. FBI agents filing suit against his illegal unconstitutional acts of revenge must have him grinding his teeth down to the gums. Pretty soon he'll be plucking his eyebrows out watching Musk stealing the show out from under him while his own MAGATs are committing mutiny in the stands over his tariff debacle and how he's tiptoeing around with the Mass Deportation promise he kept on bragging about during his Sermons On The Stump. Poor poor Trump thinking he could just steamroll his way into his dictatorship.

History lesson for the survivors out there in other countries.
Next time a MAGA like cult rises up. You copy China and immediately outlaw their existence. You round them up. You harvest their organs.
Don't play nice with death cults. You squash them with zeal. Do not ever give them the freedom to take the first shot.
It seems that the thing to do is to avoid the situation in the first place, as much as possible. The big weakness is a) presidential democracies tend to fall into dictatorship because of the power split between executive and legislature, and b) winner take all elections with extreme gerrymandering and affirmative action for conservative viewpoints/senators.

If anything were to come from this, a new constitution should be written where we have a multiparty parliamentary system, with agencies reporting directly to a prime minister from the legislature and the president basically having no real power.

But that's neither here nor there, given that Musk is tearing out the copper wire and the Trump administration has turned off the security system.

Along with a high court that has a vastly reduced scope of power.

China: Uyghurs
USA: MAGA

That's how you avoid the "situation" in the first place.
I don't think the solution is to put people in camps. You don't stop evil by giving up your humanity. And the Uyghurs are not like MAGA at all - they're just people that the Chinese government doesn't like.

I mean the structure of the government has always been fundamentally flawed in that someone who didn't care to be constrained by the law or the constitution could do what they want. Future restructuring to limit those possibilities is one way to avoid it in the first place. The other way, which is also important, is to turn off the propaganda spigot that has been feeding directly into peoples faceholes for the past 30 years, and is now microtargeted to them in social media feeds.

Are you there yet? I think so.

This presents the case quite clearly. Elons fingers in the treasury is the definition of an ongoing coup. In realtime.

I think the bolded is the right solution. I don’t see why you can’t still have free speech and the ability to criticize government and outlaw propaganda and misinformation.

You don't understand what MAGA is yet.
Don't worry, they'll get you there.

We did not lose our humanity when we carpet bombed Dresden or Tokyo. Or nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The era of American politics is over. MAGA is for the street, and we will meet them there.

We should pour money into restoring WW2 footage with Ai, upscaling and colorization and push it on all available platforms, even X ads, as to not let the world forget where this leads. Cant forget. Wont forget.

Who is we? A couple dozen people showing up this week at some statehouses being whipped into a lukewarm frenzy by the likes of Schumer and Connelly don't make for much of an opposing sight.

Americans as a whole simply don't have the physical, mental or emotional stamina for whatever it is you're suggesting.

Your doomer schtick is really pathetic. Have you considered just getting a journal or a therapist instead?

There were hundreds of people at my state capitol yesterday, and mine was not the only one.
I think you hang around different people than I do.

You figure that accounts for the 1-3 million in internment camps? Or is that just anti-CCP propaganda?

People haven't even begun to feel the consequences MAGA has in store for them.
The riots in summer 2020 are more akin to what we start with. Depending on how bad MAGA hurts people, we'll see where it goes from there.

B&W has higher impact than colour images. Sometimes less is more.
Oh you don't have to tell me. But, there a generation rift about it at least anecdotally for me. Hell, even Xgeners turn the channel if the see B&W. It's truly sad as there are fantastic B&W movies.

We have a poster here ( he's maybe 40) that said he won't watch a B&W movie nor any movie older than him.

Crazy huh?
