I don't think Escalade is a good car for realtor. If I see Escalade in the driveaway, I think "there goes the neighborhood" and drive off :D

Toyota LandCruiser.. way more reliable than anything out of GM and plenty of cargo space.

Being that GM doesn't lag Toyota by too much in dependability studies and Cadillac is the flagship of dependability as far as GM goes. Do you have some facts to back up that statement or is intrinsically obvious because one is Toyota and the other is domestic?

Oh yeah, isn't this the time where someone says something about the interiors?
The LandCruiser is imported to more countries in the world than any other vehicle. The UN also uses them for rescue vehicles.. hell even the Taliban in Afghanistan drove LandCruisers... if there is one car that could be the ultimate symbol of Toyota's reliability, the LandCruiser is pretty much it. Toyota has proven their quality and reliability over their competitors. I'll let Toyota's reputation speak for itself.

Yeah I guess I'm stereotyping Escalade owners, but people do that and if she is trying to play off an image then she needs to think about stereotypes. Good or bad, I think she would be better off getting a different SUV that doesn't carry so much weight on it's image already.

If it describes all but two Escalade owners, is it really a stereotype? :p

My sister has an Escalade.. the one that's like a Suburban. Contrary to other posters (most have probably never even ridden one, let alone drive run) the ride is fine and it has plenty of power. Build quality is superior to a typical GM product IMHO. The clock in the console is cheezy.

They are overpriced though.. by at least 20% IMHO.

I'd rather get a Suburban or an Avalanche and save the $$$ as they're almost the same but don't have quite the bling-bling factor.

Good SUV is an oxymoron like military intelligence, jumbo shrimp (thanks, George Carlin) or Microsoft Works. :p

So, we're back to "it's intrinsically obvious."

The problem with that is she wants to show that she's a successful realtor and I don't think a VW would resonate that kind of image. When I think of VW, I think of their beatles and mini-buses.

Why not get a Cadillac STS, BMW 745i, Mercedes-Benz S430 or a Lexus L430? Nicer cars with plenty of space that aren't cumbersome pieces of junk. Or like I said earlier, a Lexus RX330. It is probably the best looking SUV out there.

get a 740IL the longer version SUPER roomy very nice.

Just buy a damn pickup truck and toss the signs in the bed.

And if it must be "Big Blingin Platinum Plus Dope Delux Yo Word Excel Outlook Express", then buy the "HEMI" version with 20s. :p
