Are Escalades good SUVs?

Nope, they suck.
Their interior is crap.
The plasticky dashboard looks like it was made out of a wheelie bin.
The ride sucks.
They're slow.
Their only redeeming factor is their size and the "presence" it brings... and the "bling" factor.

I was looking at similarly priced SUVs and they offer the same features as the Escalade and are just as expensive. Although the M-Class is actually less expensive but I heard their reliability is crap.

EDIT: Can anybody link me to a reliable car review site? I just skimmed through one and it looks like Escalade almost tied with BMW X5 as highest SUV ranked. I would look into the X5s, but there are a lot of people around where I live who have them so we're trying to be distinct...

Get the Caddilac SRX its a hell of a nice SUV from the reviews, and costs the same as the escalade.

I guess it would also help mentioning that we're looking good sized cargo room for lugging around real estate signs...

The old and new one are very nice. They are not meant to be a off road SUV, well duh. But they are very reliable and if you want a high end lux suv then look at that or a Caddilac SRX also.

how big of a cargo room do you need for lugging around those signs? you can prolly stack um in the back of the SRX sideways and get like 20 in their no problem.

Hmm... we'll look into it. Thanks.

Lexus RX330

It looks good and is built very well.

Seriously, you don't need a light tank to haul around a real estate sign. My mother doesn't seem to have any issues hauling signs around in her Lexus ES300.

For the same money you can get the Touraeg(which had awesome reviews) In the V8 WITH EVERY OPTION IMAGINABLE, for less, and have a better car.

The problem with that is she wants to show that she's a successful realtor and I don't think a VW would resonate that kind of image. When I think of VW, I think of their beatles and mini-buses.

but it is a volkswagon smaug, and you dont buy expensive VW's their reliability is second to WORST, or around there.

The only image an Escalade "resonates" is that you are a pathetic wannabe gangsta.

OK if she is a realtor then yes get the Escalade as driving a nice car/suv is something that does help. Also she can write off the Escalade more then a smaller one. I hate that tax rule but tell her to use it.

Why not get a Cadillac STS, BMW 745i, Mercedes-Benz S430 or a Lexus L430? Nicer cars with plenty of space that aren't cumbersome pieces of junk. Or like I said earlier, a Lexus RX330. It is probably the best looking SUV out there.

She's way ahead of you on that 😉
