Hey, two meals for $6 is a good price to me. I can never eat a whole one. Plus, at least in my local Chipotle, they do anything you ask. Try asking for less rice and more toppings. I've never had one say no to any request yet.

No doubt. If I eat one for lunch I'm good for the rest of the day.

Likewise. However, beyond that point gas-x is required to keep up domestic relations. I love me some Chipotle....

😀

Protip: get the burrito bowl.

It has less rice (which is a bad thing for me because their rice owns) and more meat/toppings than the traditional burrito I've found. YMMV

Also, as others said, they'll customize anything you want.. so just ask them. I saw a guy ask for nothing but meat with a splash of pico and they filled this guy's burrito completely full for the same price.

Well hell yes. Do you really need to ask that question?

Go to a real Mexican place, even a taco stand roach-coach and taste a real burrito. You'll never bother with that Chipotle or similar nonsense again.

There's always one of these comments and it's just not true.

yeah, they're overpriced. if i wanted to each that much rice i'd go straight to panda express and save myself a few bucks.

Why dont you just find food in the dumpster and save yourself a couple more bucks?

because that would be retarded, just like your post

I dont know whats more retarded, your response to my post or the fact that you are trying to compare chipotle to panda express.

Have I hit a nerve, fanboy? Too bad, jackass. Let me lay it out for you: chipotle is a chain restaurant, and the burritos there don't hold a candle to the real thing.

Seriously man, you compared Chipotle to panda express. You compared mexican food to chinese food. WTF?

It is true I love Chipotle. Whats the point of hating on a chain restaurant? Its damn good food, and there's an obvious reason why its insanely popular throughout the entire US. To hate on something just because its a 'chain restaurant' makes you just as much of a fanboy of non-chain restaurants as you claim I am of Chipotle.

And don't tell me about the "real thing". You live in California, I live in Arizona. I would say we both have an equal amount of authentic mexican food to compare it to.

Or would you rather just keep on comparing apples to oranges? Maybe someone can make a thread on quiznos, and you can bring up Panda Express again and say how good it is!

I feel it's too expensive for what you are getting. There are literally hundreds of other Mexican places that I can go to, most of which will be better / cheaper than Chipotle. Taco Burrito King, Taco Burrito Palace, Taco Burrito Xpress, Taco Burrito House, among many many others.

I havent been there in a couple years and had fajita burrito with pinto beans, peppers, onions, shredded cheese and medium salsa.

My complaint is that its like 80% rice. Subtract the rice and look at what you have left. Thats a $6 burrito? Sure its a tasty burrito even with the 3lbs of rice, but there should be some truth in advertising....call them ricettos or something.

Depends on who serves it. I've never gotten 80% of anything though. It's typically been about 40% rice, the rest split between fajitas, chicken, black beans and salsa.

Lack of processed cheap ingredients . I will gladly pay the extra buck or two for the food.

And a #1 from McDonalds is over $6.

Sure you get fries and a drink with your burger, but Chipotle uses real food and it fills you up more. I can eat 2x #1 meals from McDonalds (or #1+20 nuggets), which makes it cheaper than Chipotle.

Point is Chipotle is good food, and not too bad price wise.

You realize they're owned by McCrapold's, right?

I thought so too but apparently McDonald's sold their portion of the company in 2006.

Yum...I think I will eat there for lunch.

My mouth did start to water as I made this thread. 🙁

LMAO....the change in direction is great...you made a post to complain/bash Chipotle, then you said you're mouth was watering thinking about it...

I love it...don't know why I found that so funny 🙂

Freebirds > Chipotle anyday of the week.

I've been to Freebirds in the Dallas area and was not impressed. When I left CA, I also left Chipotle and got stuck with Qdoba, a lacking substitute. When I go to DC to visit my brother, or when we drive back to CA to see friends, a stop at Chipotle is a must.

Same thing happened here. I went to the Freebirds on Campbell in Richardson across from a Chipotle because a visiting friend said it was awesome, it was stuffed with rice, but I preferred the white rice with lime and cilantro to the mexican rice that Freebirds uses. Overall cant say I enjoyed my Freebirds experience.

Its stimple folks, just like Subway, or any other assembly line place, YOU CAN ASK for less or even no rice.

Everytime Im at Free birds, I nix the rice, and they usually compensate by adding MORE meat. Not a huge amount more, but more than you get if you get rice + meat.

I lived in Central FL for 14 years and there are plenty of first and second generation Mexicans there along with many "authentic" Mexican restaurants. From my experience it's hit or miss when it comes to the food. I think what a place like Moe's or Chipotle gives you is consistency.

Texmex/Mexican/Southwestern food is pretty basic - in fact it's almost all the same (tortilla, meat, cheese, veggies). I don't think a person's race has much to do with them being a good or bad cook.
