Are Chipotle Mexican Grill's burritos overpriced?

I havent been there in a couple years and had fajita burrito with pinto beans, peppers, onions, shredded cheese and medium salsa.

My complaint is that its like 80% rice. Subtract the rice and look at what you have left. Thats a $6 burrito? Sure its a tasty burrito even with the 3lbs of rice, but there should be some truth in advertising....call them ricettos or something.

Hey, two meals for $6 is a good price to me. I can never eat a whole one. Plus, at least in my local Chipotle, they do anything you ask. Try asking for less rice and more toppings. I've never had one say no to any request yet.

no, not at all.

i even get extra rice instead of beans everytime I go.

No beans? Are ju crazy mang? A burrito without beans is like a pizza without pepperonis. 😉

yeah, they're overpriced. if i wanted to each that much rice i'd go straight to panda express and save myself a few bucks.

Why dont you just find food in the dumpster and save yourself a couple more bucks?

Qdoba > Chipotle

Only for quesadillas, chipotle burritos are much better.

I think chipotle quac is overprices for what you get, but the burrito is about right on the price point. I get it with pico and hot salsa and corn, so it ends up being more non-rice than rice.

Even the food in the dumpster behind CMG is overpriced once you figure in the labor of looking for one without all that rice in it. 🙁

I dont know whats more retarded, your response to my post or the fact that you are trying to compare chipotle to panda express.

Anybody know if they changed their Carnitas recently?

Last time I went I was picking up two to go and the Carnitas looked extremely dry when the dude added it, but I didn't really think twice about it. When I stated eating mine when I got back, it was horribly dry. They either forgot the Carnitas juice liquid stuff, or they made a horrible change to the recipe.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Seriously, who the fuck calls it 'Chipotle Mexican Grill'?

I dont understand how its overpriced when most value meals at fast food places are easily $6 - 8 nowadays.

At least chipotle is fresh made, REAL food. You can always ask them for more of something, I do it every time I go there.

That's why I don't go to chain stores for mexican food. The college I went to has a great cafe that serves all kinds of food. You can get a cheese burger for $3.50, and loaded burrito for about the same price.

I think you just got a bad batch. If I noticed it was dry before they put it in, I think I would have declined it. Although, on my last trip, I did get a few undercooked pieces of meat.

Yes, but I only eat there when I get to expense the lunch. 😛

(OTOH, I bet the higher quality meats and lots of fresh produce/salsas do add to the cost.)
